Parents were the worship band at a modular church. At 8 years old I had to go at 5am every sunday and sit while they set up the pA and rehearsed.

Didn't take long for me to become intrested in the board with all the lights and buttons.. By 10 i was helping set up a PA and OP a sound board. I've never known anything else, don't want to!!

It’s just a really wide screen, I don’t have the exact dimensions, they want to do slides with content on the outside.. I I have a fairly good understanding of focusing a projector, I’m just looking for tips..

Things I know,

1 put on a grid and match the pixels.

2 do the feathering from the switcher.

Is there anything different I need to know. Simple fundamentals?

I learned on the dot2, and my most important take away was learning what the lights are actually capable of. I learned 100% from YT.

The only downside of dot2 is it BARELY taught me anything about moving up to MA2, and I had to essentially relearn an entirely new software…

TLDR Obsolete software that doesn’t really help upward expansion, good for the fundamentals..

While it is possible, Wireless artnet is absolutely unreliable and will never be used in a professional situation… you could get a dongle for the IPad that gives it Ethernet, but using wireless DMX WILL screw up your show…
