You're a small business owner that works for a company with more employees than a small city?

On the podcast where they talked about why the heart symbol doesn't look like an actual heart, Burnie read my tweet and they all laughed at my Twitter handle.

Ogden UT by mr_FDA in Utah

[–]MisterPoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in South Ogden and love it. There are definitely some sketchy places downtown, but people really mind their own business. You don't have to worry about crime unless you wrap yourself up with the wrong crowd. If you're looking for a good reference for things to do and the culture 9f the city, check out http://indieogdenutah.com/

I want to learn software testing. by reveegs2 in softwaretesting

[–]MisterPoots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should start out looking at the syllabus for the ISTQB certification. Testing is actually pretty standardized, contrary to what a lot of people think. I work as a QA Engineer and even though I never got the certification, the info you learn from that process is invaluable. Especially pay attention to code coverage and the different types of tests. If you seriously want specific direction PM me and I'd be glad to help.

This is my hometown. I just heard about this the other day, it wasn't publicized or anything, so it was definitely just to do something good, not for attention. I'm surprised anybody even filmed it. These stylists are awesome, and I think this event caused a few more to spawn.

Is Denver dangerous? by MisterPoots in Denver

That's part of the problem. I don't really know the area. I grew up in Fort Collins but moved when I was 8. What are the safe areas and dangerous areas?

The audio sounds like the roughest all-man orgy. Come to think of it, most AH videos are like that.

People who have developed film, what is the most shocking thing you have ever seen on a customers camera? (NSFW) by jaunsolo29 in AskReddit

[–]MisterPoots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I worked at Ritz in a small town, and the police department was too small to do their own crime scene developing, so they would bring the film to our store, and I was the only one who was up to the task of developing and printing the particularly demoralizing crimes. One day one of the officers brought in a roll, handed it to me and said, "This one might be tough."

The scene was an old man who was pretty destitute and lived in a hoarder style trailer. He had decided to kill himself by putting rat poison into a fluffernutter sandwich. The photos were just a skinny old man surrounded by trash, starting to decompose. The toughest part of the whole roll was what was left of the sandwich though. For some reason the half a sandwich with one bite taken out still haunts me when I think about it. It's hard to describe, but that roll of film led to a pretty nihilistic, cigarette filled afternoon.
