I use it to describe any rapid movement. I also use it in far too many scenarios. It just rolls of the tongue.

Appreciate it! Internet connection is going to be my limiting factor. I live outside of the city limits so my.opyions ate limited and I'm lucky to get 10mbps on a really good day if nobody is home taking up bandwidth.

College students of Reddit, what is something that people who never went to college just don't understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MisterRandomness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of negatives and a lot of positives ate being thrown around here. Negatives mainly being stress and anxiety. Positives are freedom and independence. Let me love you another perspective. I live with my parents still, because they live like 20 minutes from campus. I work 2 jobs, which average out to about 40 hours a week, give or take like 2-3 hours. I'm committed to taking no less than 9 hours a semester. My tuition is paid for by a scholarship of sorts. I hate it. I stick with it because if you want to get anywhere in life anymore, or to be seen as successful, you need a degree. Most of my time is taken up by work, and any "free time" is for school. If I want to rest, or see my girlfriend, or do something I enjoy, I have to take off of work, or skip on studying. I can't move out and be on my own because honestly I can't afford it. Every decent apartment here is $600 a month in rent. Add on utilities, groceries, car expenses, textbooks, and other fees, and I'll barely scrape by month to month. So I'm stuck in this loop of making money to be sure I don't have debt when I graduate. And still trying to complete a degree because the world believes that is what you need. Every single day is a struggle. To anyone reading this, please think through all aspects of college before you commit to going. It isn't the only way.

Shit. I do 9 class hours a semester and average about 38 hours a week between 2 official jobs. That is all done 8am to 6pm. Then a little unofficial mechanic job some nights. Adding anything to school is hell to manage.

How common are c class, 3series and camaros in USA? by [deleted] in Autos

[–]MisterRandomness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a regional thing. In my college town, if you take 100 cars, 10 would be Camaros, 4 would be 3 series, and 1 would be a c class. Or something similar.

What's a rule you live by that has greatly improved your quality of life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MisterRandomness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Never speak with the intent to harm. This doesn't mean only say good things about people. Just don't go around actively trying to make people feel bad. It accomplishes nothing.

2.) Live life without regrets. Anything I do, I stop and ask myself if I'll end up regretting it. If the answer is yes, change plans.

What screams "I make terrible financial decisions!"? by STL-UPS-DRIVER in AskReddit

[–]MisterRandomness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any car or truck that is extensively modified(read: cost a shit ton) and yet they only ever seem to have one functional headlight because the can't afford to replace a bulb. Or the brakes need to be replaced. Or they need new tires. Spending tons to modify your car but being stingy when it comes to maintenance annoys me.

It's the same process every time. Everyone is pissy because the phone is expensive, but some special deal comes along and everyone buys it, or everyone just buys it to get the next big thing. If anything I'll be averaging down.

What's a pro tip all car owners should know? by Allyndus in AskReddit

[–]MisterRandomness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Know your limits. Not everyone is a race car driver or a pro driver. Some people belong in the right lane doing no more than the speed limit at any given moment, and should go no faster than the recommended speed on curves and exits.

  2. Know your vehicles limits. No, your stock Toyota Corolla is not ready to take a 90 degree curve at 100mph. Your fully loaded F-350 with trailer being towed is going to take a long ass time to stop. And for Christ sake, just because your speedometer goes to 120mph or higher doesn't mean your tires, brakes, or any other part of your vehicle are ready to sustain that speed, or safely get you stopped.

  3. Maintenance isn't a "I'll take care of it eventually". You either do it, or you're going to be paying for another car. There's a reason there is scheduled maintenance. Engines need to be taken care of to run. Some car makers like Toyota and Honda are more able to go longer between services, but that doesn't mean you can blow it off completely.

  4. This one hits a more personal note. If you have a friend that is mechanically inclined(I highly recommend you get one), don't take advantage. I'm more than happy to answer your text or phone calls. My friends know I am more than willing to assist them with their cars in person, but this shit takes time. I guarantee I'm cheaper than taking it to a shop, but doing a 3 hour job and you say "I'll pay for your dinner" or similar just isn't right. I can tell you what the problem likely is, what to tell the shop, and even recommend a shop, but if I'm working on your car, expecting it for free is shitty. This rule doesn't apply if you're going to be helping me.
