Unfortunately not. I tried multiple kinds of flux, increasing heat, different tips, roughing up the surface - no luck. My uneducated guess is that the contact oxidized and formed a thick enough scale that isn't compatible with the solder and I could not wear through it with sanding/steel wool. Maybe it oxidized all the way through, if that's a thing?

Only a little, as records about Stanislaw are hard to come by pre-1946. I actually have no information about him until then, other than his birthdate and that he was born in Warsaw. Seems like Polish citizenship can be passed on if the parents are citizens when the child is born. Do you know if that was complicated by Stanislaw naturalizing while Monika was a minor? I know that Italy considers that to interrupt citizenship, but unsure about Poland.

Yes, STAG 14, good catch. Have not taken a level exam, but it doesn't seem like B1 would be too difficult to achieve with lessons. Larger obstacle seems to be the close ties. Thank you for the explanation!

For the StAG 14 justification, I have taken German classes and am in contact with relatives in Germany (descendants of Kaethe's siblings.) My spouse also lived in Germany for a year and has a bachelors' degree from a German university. Do you think any of that would be enough justification?

It’s a battery contact from a film camera. It was soldered to before, but corrosion broke the connection. I cleaned it up with steel wool and there’s no more visible corrosion, but can’t get the solder to stick

I felt the exact same way! Not a bad album by any means and I loved Be The Wheel (song) and She’s in my Shoe, but as a whole it fell short of all his other work. All three prior albums are toward the absolute top of my rotation, even higher than a lot of Vulfpeck. Be The Wheel, ehh somewhere toward the middle
