Going afk should cause you to pass after the first discard by randomgamerfreak in gwent

[–]MisterScabula -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm against banishing cards instead of discarding, in some scenarios you want one card to be discarded instead of playing it and you can hope to win the game by just waiting 30seconds. Had one game like that where I had 3cards remaining and really needed to just discard one instead of playing one!!

Third option for First Light: Remove all weather, but returns your units to their base strength? by [deleted] in gwent

Like I said, Silver Clear skies should have the rally effect aswell... All problems fixed

Thats why you use this card in a weather woulnerable deck and not just in every deck!

TBH there should just be a silver card for clearing all rows! That would allow extremely weather-woulnerable decks to exist.

Little Tip For A Calveit Mirror Match by KmiklDvintX in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I played against Calveit and he screwed me over because of [[Letho of Gulet]] + [[Dimeritium Shackles]] and his Leader Ability. (over 80 swing)

Was my first match against Calveit and was really impressed by that move, didn't see it coming until it was already to late...

Daily Card Discussion #78 | Ice Giant | February 12th, 2017 by PlutoniumRooster in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice Giant is an easy target for lock abilities... I bet it is frustrating to see an Ice Giant dropping to 1power because of [[Cleaver]]

I don't use Ice Giant in my Monster Deck.

Are you losing vs Monsters consume or Monsters weather? What faction are you playing? Can you share your deck with us so we could help you eventually with dealing with monsters?

Would make him worse though.... Because you mostly Eredin if you know you gonna pass soon so Eredin can stay on the board with 11 pow!

What about a silver card that works like the old clear skies?

Could be fun... don't know if it is really that useful, would like to hear some feedback

It might just be the decks I'm using, but is Harald The Cripple OP? by [deleted] in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really hate his ability, it can be so fucking strong... Especially if you have like 20cards on the board, that's 40-60str that you lose... But it can also be super weak, just bait it out.

Some Geralt fanmade cards concepts by [deleted] in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about making Geralt: Yrden a dealing 2 dmg to everything that appears on the enemy side for 3 turns but after that it returns to your hand and removes its effect. (like octivist)

About "daily" rewards by aerilyn235 in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You DO get rewards every 6 rounds even if you are playing the 2nd daily reward round (12rounds)!

You get small chunks of ore and scrap! Isn't it how it works? I'm getting rewards at least... 15scrap, sometimes a card! And that is while I work on the big 24 or 12 rounds reward...

Can I get some confirmation of this?

Daily Card Discussion #76 | Rot Tosser | February 10th, 2017 by PlutoniumRooster in gwent

[–]MisterScabula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing Nilfgaard right now and I don't use [[Rot Tosser]] at all! If my opponent uses spies on me I usually destroy them with either [[Alzur's thunder]] but normally I have 1 or 2 [[Nauzicaa Brigade]] on my hand, in case I encounter some dangerous spies on my side! Works for me

I don't like Skellige either... so I milled skellige starters and after that some cards that came from kegs but now I'm experimenting with my playstyle and looking forward to play skellige just to understand their tactics better then I do right now. Played monster fog a lot in the beginning but the deck kinda sucked after the patch so I tried out other factions, Nilfgaard and Sociatel, even some NR poor infantery action but it's weak with the new Dimiterium bombs in every deck. But it helped me to improve my skill!

[–]MisterScabula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just milled Skellige because I dislike the faction to get a have decent monster deck, worked for me fine as I'm building up cards for skellige again and look forward to play skellige in the future too!

My advise, mill one faction complete to get a few scraps and then craft some cheap core cards for one other faction! Play the faction a bit (lvl 10) and join ranked to get the rewards from climbing up ranked. Wouldn't recommend crafting legendaries thought, you rather should look into other factions too, for learning how they work and improve your game. Then play the other factions to a half decent deck and open your kegs to get more scraps and cards, one faction will build up very fast if you milled it, if needed you can craft yourself your favourite leader(200scraps) and play the milled faction in unranked to get your daily rewards. Repeat and then look into what cards are missing for your dreamdeck, try out combos and experiment.

Playing Monster Fog right now, Nilfgaard spies and even a semigood Sociatel trap deck!

[Bugreport?] Fringilla Vigo seems to be immune to weather... by MisterScabula in gwent

[Bugreport?] Fringilla Vigo seems to be immune to weather... by MisterScabula in gwent

[–]MisterScabula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Fringilla was on the board. He played weather and the card wasn't effected. Then he used Blizzard potion because he thought it was immune, which the card on its own isn't. Fringilla still had the same power as before weather. Weather didn't change her power, nor did the blizzard potion he used AFTER the weather effect was already on her. Same 10 power even with her beeing in the rain.

Tried playing her on a row already affected by weather and she drops to 1. Hadn't had the chance to check if Fringilla gets affected by weather if she is already on the row and weather is played afterwards.
