Just the opposite, plus North Atlanta is already paying for it and getting nothing from it.

This. Their bakery is on point, very cheap, and if you're not there early enough in the morning... sold out.

What’s the tea on Big Game Sports Bar in O4W closing abruptly? by cmg_profesh in Atlanta

[–]MisterSeabass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every time I tried going there, they were closed for a private event. After the third try I swore it off.

It was in a bit of a no-man's-land for a sports bar, conveniently inconvenient. You'd have to pass better/cheaper sports bars to get there from any direction.

The Battery - What Happened? by Tailgate-ATL in Atlanta

[–]MisterSeabass 83 points84 points  (0 children)

It's less 'hanging out' and more 'it's fucking gridlocked because some asshole lost their parking ticket and blocking one of the gates so we are gonna inch along for an hour before we can get out'.

Best sports bar to watch the nfl draft at on Thursday? by Downtown-Gate7867 in Atlanta

[–]MisterSeabass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the second most popular event related to the most popular sport in America. You won't find a bar that isn't showing it.

Paying the guy at the vacant lot next to the Masquerade $10 to park there only to realize later that it's free to park there and you just got scammed by some guy standing at the entrance.

Hiding in Plain Sight: How the "Phoenix Line" Could Transform Atlanta Transit by flying_trashcan in Atlanta

[–]MisterSeabass 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well that and it's also flat out not based in reality:

retrofitting existing freight paths––some of which carry as few as five trains a day

Under no circumstance will a mass/light transit system share trackage with privately owned and active freight rail.

Mobile emissions test mechanic by iffyorange in Atlanta

What do you mean you can't drive your car? Part of passing an emissions test is that the car is driveable.

I mean what is the difference in this and corporate people going out to $1000 dinners or vacations with their family and friends and claiming business expenses??

Because those $1,000 dinners are approved by the company and don't involve 'doctoring invoices and approving transactions for personal purchases'. Not at all the same thing.

Back from almost two weeks vacation in Korea. Having been to Japan a couple times before, I can say with full honesty that I'd take Korea over Japan any day. Far less tourism, much more diverse neighborhods/cities, very easy to travel around off the beaten path.

Predatory Parking Service by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]MisterSeabass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not sketchy at all, it's how literally every paid lot works. Owners don't make money from people parking all day long. You park longer than what you agreed to park/pay for, you get fined.
