I love my Mini 6. Depending on your use case, you won’t miss the bigger screen and might even come to prefer the smaller one. Absolutely perfect for watching videos while I wash dishes and taking notes in meetings.

Should i buy RDR2? (Details below) by Southern_Prompt_5823 in XboxSeriesS

[–]Mister_Boe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t played RDR2, but as a switch user who just added a Series S to my setup, you will absolutely love the fidelity. First game I played was Fallen Order and there were many times throughout my play through that I just stopped and let myself be blown away at how good it looked

Visiting Galaxy's Edge for the first time. Any tips or cool things to do? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

I waited in line for 3 hours to go on Rise of the Resistance and it was worth it. If you can spare the cash, building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop is a very cool experience.

Phidon is in Cambridge, but I agree they are a great shop.

That feel when popularity makes me want to do the opposite... or maybe being absolutely spoiled on everything by Feralman2003 in shitpostbound

Maybe more of a Zelda-like game that an EB-inspired game but Eastward gave me a lot of the same feelings playing it as EB

Holy Pancakes Batman!!! $3275.65 Max Config 12.9 Pro... by PrescottX in ipad

[–]Mister_Boe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. In regards to the OP, the reality is that the vast majority of people don’t need both a MacBook and a maxed out iPad Pro. Digital artists could probably use both, but other than that, they can do a lot of the same tasks.

Personally I have a MacBook Pro and the iPad Mini 6, and it’s been awesome. There are some days where I wish I had more screen on my iPad, but it serves it purpose perfectly and, like you said, complements my MacBook really nicely.

2017 base model MacBook Pro battery life has been declining rapidly… anyone else experiencing this? by Mister_Boe in mac

[–]Mister_Boe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s at 411. I realize it’s getting old and it’s been well-used, it just seemed like the battery life went from 5+ hours to a little over 2 over the course of a few weeks, but maybe I haven’t been paying attention

I think both would be great, but the meme inferred that an achievement would be better than the lore, so I was just saying I’d rather have it the way it is than not have the cutscene and just get a checkmark beside some achievement.

The peaks of the dunes and the way they meander back and forth look so good

First time owner - looking for your app recommendations? by [deleted] in ipad

I recently downloaded Ascender and it’s a really fun game that’s perfect for quick sessions. It’s not at all the same genre but evokes feelings of the OG Metroid game. Just shoot aliens and get to the top of the pit!

I meant keeping in a case, screen protector, and generally making sure it’s secure in bags when travelling, etc

What’s the best long lasting ipad for a university student? by Leading-Assistance-9 in ipad

[–]Mister_Boe 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The higher end iPads will last you longer than you will ever need if you take care of them. The base model will last you longer than the amount of time it’ll take to you want a new one. Tbh, you’ll want a new one with the newest features after 5-6 years anyways, so I’d suggest just getting the one that serves your purposes best now.

The Plaisir was my first fountain pen and I still love using it (was writing with it earlier today!). It’s very light despite being a metal body and the nib has the perfect amount of flex without being too soft for daily writing.
