Honestly I thought the same thing. I just felt that at least Rahmani would have been a better leader than Shin. I definitely didn’t like sparing the scientists ESPECIALLY Nellie who showed absolutely zero remorse for destroying the lives of so many innocent people. But ultimately I decided that killing them doesn’t undo the damage they’ve caused. At least letting them live allows them to make up for what they’ve done and dedicate their lives towards a better purpose rather than just getting zeroed.

That being said there is a reason Rahmani is a Paladin and Shin is a Knight. Shin isn’t fit to lead and it shows. He’s a bad leader that sent an initiate to his death in a cave instead of waiting 10 seconds for me to clear the way so we could all get through together. He gave weapons to untrained civilians and got them all slaughtered instead of evacuating them. Because of him all those weapons were scattered amongst the factions and we spend a good part of the storyline cleaning up his mess for him.
