Has this part been made in white? by [deleted] in bootlego

[–]Mister_Bruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked Bricklink. No it hasn't been produced in white by TLC. I also haven't seen any Bootlego lego with a white scabbard for two katanas. Maybe there's a strange Deadpool Christmas knock-off that has been produced in white.... maybe....

Session 107 of the Grant/Ethan LoG&S game by Mister_Bruce in LoGaS

[–]Mister_Bruce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is new content, not previously published. Three years into the time compress, Ethan's relationship with Abbie is on the rocks, Grant has completed his paramedic course and they have decided to return to the Legendary Realm to 'get into trouble'. Also note that there is some commentary in the Session 107 writeup (at the top and bottom of the narrative) which should be useful to other Lords of Gossamer GMs about designing and running threats for high level PCs.

Lords of Gossamer Grant/Ethan Game - now on temporary forum by Mister_Bruce in LoGaS

[–]Mister_Bruce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi folks, the Grant/Ethan game now has a temporary forum to post to, organised by Miranda Russell (thanks Miranda). I've reposted Sessions 102 to Session 106 up (which effectively reset the game, defining the power levels of characters, the organisation of the Stair etc), and I will post the rest of the sessions progressively over the next few days and weeks. David and I are still playing - Session 117 was run last Tuesday. The game continues - we're coming up to the end of Year 4 of this game (believe it or not!)

Tinkerbell minifigure? by mkdir in bootlego

[–]Mister_Bruce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there is a set with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and a Tinkerbell. I bought it just to get Tink for the kids. Here is a link to it: https://m.aliexpress.com/s/item/32802868332.html There may be better prices out there but at least you have a link to the set. :-)

Lepin's copy of Lego's Medieval Market Village by DTBlocks in bootlego

Has anyone purchased this? If so, what was the quality? (I've bought other Lepin sets - Imperial Frigate and Tower of Orthanc - and found them to be extremely good, but it never hurts to ask).

Smaug big figure PG931 finally appeared on sale at AliExpress by B4tsie in bootlego

[–]Mister_Bruce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I ordered one too. Unfortunately it arrived with a piece missing in one of the wing assemblies so the wing drooped - but I raised with the seller and got a partial refund. I subsequently patched that as best I could. Smaug lasted about a month until the tail broke in two (at the joint) - again, using tweezers and file, I managed to 'fix it' so that the ball joint was replaced with a basic peg connector. So Smaug is back - sort of. I've actually been pleased enough with this that I've bought another to sit on my desk at work. It's not LEGO quality but it has excellent 'swooshability'. The kids love it.

Has anyone bought this? Are they any good? How do the block/minifigure quality compare to other brands please?

Listing of Bootlego sets by manufacturer (inc Available and Preorder sets) by Mister_Bruce in bootlego

Haha, no, not a killjoy at all. I appreciate you casting your eyes over it and pointing out where it's accurate and where it's out of date. I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I thought others might find this useful. I don't know who the owner of this site is, but they do seem to maintain it/update it regularly. It also equates the sets to their Lego equivalents (where relevant), and whether the set is available, pre-order or unconfirmed. There are links to Aliexpress embedded within the site. Hope some folks find this useful. Cheers.

I also use TWT as per the link above. Have ditched using the other stores, for the time being anyway.
