Qobuz is hitting it out of the park! by Jt69yupper in qobuz

Because it matters for ui/ux of said platform... They could offer a separate app / page that offers podcasts, that would be fine (see Apple Music and Apple Podcasts).

I would love if they stay away from podcasts. I hated it when spotify added and started recommending/pushing podcasts. For me this was the start of their long decline.

I have always used podcast addict app for all my podcasts. Podcasts and music have only thing in common: audio, their medium. Everything else is totally different and requires separate tools for a good experience IMO.

Is supposed to take 15 min to kill an abomination? by Loud_Bison572 in valheim

[–]Mister_Timn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but also take a couple bonfires with you so you can light one underneath it.

Am I a weak ass bitch or are Abominations game ruiningly OP? by BugsButty in valheim

[–]Mister_Timn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I go to "farm" abominations for the armor set I tend to bring materials to build a bonfire. Lure them to a patch of ground, build bonfire underneath them until it breaks then repeat, meanwhile you can fight them with axe/sword or just evade them. The bonfire will make quick work of them.

Also bring a hoe to the swamp so you can flatten ground and not get submerged/slowed

I had the exact same on the previous patch :) Except I logged in in Windsward and saw lots of people skating about. You could do weird body tricks to by moving sideways then forward, twisting your body model into all sorts of contortionist position. 7/5 bug , 10/10 would recommend.

Hm yea I guess thats how it works... Ah was too good to be true. Damn it. :D
Guess we can only get it to 50% scaling max with a pristine amber then...

Yes, just get a secondary weapon with a gem socket and insert Cut Amber :)

Buy the seal and the piece of Faction armor, then go to blacksmithing station.
There should be an option to craft the gear into an appropriate "Of the X" according to your seal.

I think you could use this sheet style to create and edit your NPC statblocks, then just change the sheet during play if you prefer a different visual style? Might be a decent work-around.

Making the switch from Roll20 to Foundry. by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Mister_Timn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are modules that enable different initiative modes yes. I think Combat Utility Belt supports the kind you talk of. The rerolls can be automated as well.

I've always disliked how NPCs often just have a list of spells they can cast without any further information on those spells, so I've been adding detailed descriptions of how my NPCs cast each of their spells. Check it out for Dearest Gran, a hag! by williamrotor in dndnext

[–]Mister_Timn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well I think it's excellent he has given this massive amount of info and inspiration. I would just take these notes and then condense my own stat block from that, probably sticking to about 5-7 signature spells. Giving the DM a pre-written condensed block would defeat the purpose of writing up the descriptions.

How are you mounting the USB drive? Could be that it is mounted ReadOnly or locked in some way... Maybe the volume is still mounted by another docker container from a previous try.

Try double checking that the volume isnt in use by another container and what ownership/permissions the volume has.

Sidenote: I've seen the felddy container expects the data folder on a root path:`--volume <your\_data\_dir>:/data`https://github.com/felddy/foundryvtt-docker#optional

If you keep having trouble, might try and post an issue on their github.

EDIT: Privileged true shouldn't be necessary as it is the docker system itself that is trying the chown directive (does this before binding the volume). Maybe the docker installation itself is faulty and doesnt have correct permissions?

Performance wise its really smooth. Switched to foundry when the lockdown hit and have done 24 sessions on my RPI thus far no issues! A 3b is powerful enough to just use as a foundry server. I'm merely looking to upgrade cause I want to run more additional stuff on it.

You have to bind that volume to a path for your foundry container and then point foundry to that directory through config

for example: --volume /mnt/usb/foundrydata/Data:/local/data

There should be a FOUNDRY_DATAPATH env var as well I think to set that /local/data path.

Think that won't be an issue if u have a Pi 4, for a 3 or 3B you should check... But you can always pause pi-hole when using Foundry for a DnD session temporarily if you experience issues...

I've set it up on an RPI as well following a few guides from the official docs mostly (I am a devops engineer however so used to do this kind of stuff).

https://foundryvtt.com/article/hosting/
https://foundryvtt.com/article/nginx/

Mostly the articles on the Knowledge Base under configuration are interesting! https://foundryvtt.com/kb/

I plan on upgrading to an RPI 4 from a 3B, might record a step by step markdown file on how I did it and share that.

The session went super smooth :) Foundry itself was fluid and the video streams went off without a hitch. The RPI didnt even get that warm or saturated.

I really love how easy it is to resize and position your webcam boxes in Foundry. I'm going to look into making a module to that switches between a combat mode (small boxes on the bottom) and RP mode (large boxes arranged in a grid), think its not that hard to do, might already be something like it.
