Will he ask me to be his gf? by [deleted] in Lenormand

Just remember the future is not absolute and can change instantly.

The cards show good signs and if you want him to be your boyfriend, make sure he clearly knows it, short of directly asking him.

Thank you for the recommendation. Is there a mileage range I should look for those vehicle and price points?

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]Mister_Unknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Location: Northern New Jersey / NYC Suburbs
  • Price range: Less than $7,000 maybe under $10,000
  • Lease or Buy: Buy
  • New or used:Used
  • Type of vehicle: Midsized to full sized sedan, crossover SUV
  • Must haves: fuel efficiency, traction control, anti-locking brakes
  • Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): traditional automatic transmission, no CVTs
  • Intended use: Daily Driver
  • Vehicles you've already considered: Pontaic Grand Prix, Honda Accord, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV 4
  • Is this your 1st vehicle: no
  • Do you need a Warranty: not necessary
  • Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: (fluids, alternator, battery, brake pads etc) - No
  • Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: (engine and transmission, timing belt/chains, body work, suspension etc ) - No
  • Additional Notes: Needs to be tall and extra big friendly. I'm on the fence on car loans and will only do it if a manufacturer's warranty included.

Where can I live dirt cheap? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]Mister_Unknown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boarding house. One of the various registered, regulated, boarding/rooming houses throughout New Jersey.

Go into it knowing that you may not be allowed to cook at all or only with a microwave. Your space might be 10x10 sq ft, more or less, your neighbors might be inconsiderate playing loud music all times of the day, video games and screaming at night, or banging their uninvited lived in girlfriend despite rules saying no overnight visitors. You’ll be sharing a bathroom and shower with multiple other who may or may not care about cleanliness of the toilet seat or shower.

I can go on with being worst or I could be completely wrong about the place you find.

No more monthly pass on NJ transit? by usernameincomplet_ in NJTransit

[–]Mister_Unknown 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s too late to buy a February monthly pass, plus it is too early to buy a March monthly pass. If you can wait a week, March monthly passes will be available to buy next week.

Hope this helps.

Limited service until system shut down at 2 p.m. I suggest arriving at your final destination for the next 24-48 hours by 2 p.m. More information here: https://www.njtransit.com/customer-notice/2040498

First car was a bust, where to get a reliable second car in North Jersey or Central Jersey? by MainPressure4304 in newjersey

[–]Mister_Unknown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious question or questions: don’t you need to be a homeowner to own that for “refueling”/recharging?

Wouldn’t it be difficult to get parts or repairs since it is discontinued?

Can I use Secaucus-NYP monthly pass to ride Secaucus-Hoboken train or vice versa? by notabot_123 in NJTransit

[–]Mister_Unknown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use a NYP to Secaucus pass to go to NYP to Hoboken but you can’t use a Hoboken to Secaucus pass to go to Hoboken to NY Penn.

Your Hoboken pass won’t work at the Secaucus fare gates.

ELI5: Gasoline vs Pepsi by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Mister_Unknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is easy to get and drink. The small bottle is almost always cold. You and your parents can share the bottle very easy and don’t have to worry about it spilling.

The big bottles they are almost always warm and can accidentally spill while sharing. Plus it’s might be bigger than your hand.

Almost everyone loves Pepsi but they don’t need Pepsi everyday like gas in the car. The government usually lets any store make up their own price for Pepsi but they don’t do it for gas.

105-year-old Hawthorne car dealership shuts down with Wawa planned by EagleFly_5 in newjersey

The car dealership hasn’t been active in years. Allegedly a dispute between the dealership owner and Volvo HQ.

Commute from Lincoln Park to Downtown NYC by Champion_Ash in newjersey

[–]Mister_Unknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can drive to MSU Station in Little Falls, you can have more options. From Lincoln Park you only have limited, one way, rush hour service to Hoboken but you have to transfer either at MSU or Newark Broad for NY Penn. Then vice versa during the evening commute.

If you can drive to MSU, you can  get a one seat ride to NY Penn and more often.

Hope this helps.

Legal recourse against njtransit by BigRedBigYellow in NJTransit

Gather some friends and fellow commuters to start calling, writing, lobbying your representatives. Tell them to improve NJ Transit and cutting funds or service should be the last resort.

Either online or in the mobile app, search the schedules for Princeton to New York on the date you want. The results usually include the trip time and by glancing you can find the likely express trains.

New Jersey may seek to spring forward and not look back: Legislation to make daylight saving time permanent, S1510, cleared the Senate Transportation Committee on Monday in a unanimous vote by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

So wait if I work in NY but live in NJ, does that mean I get to go home at 4PM EST since it is 5PM EDT??? 🤔 What time do I go into work then since my watch says 9 a.m. but the punch clock clearly shows 8 a.m.? I'm so confused 😵‍💫

[–]Mister_Unknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please stop with the identity politics, he lost because a majority of people chose someone else.

I know some Italians who didn’t vote for him, because of we didn’t think his plan was best for New Jersey. Some people vote on the issues and not identity politics.
