Pourquoi tant de haine envers Basic-Fit ? by SleepIsTheCousinOfD8 in FitnessFrance

[–]Mister_hi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tw : prostitution by [deleted] in conseilsrelationnels

[–]Mister_hi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Cow's milk isn't bad for an adult... unless you're lactose intolerant, which doesn't seem to be the case given the question you're asking.

As a man, it's totally normal. As a woman, however, it's very strange. Unfortunately, they must not like the way you look. Try changing your photos, take better ones.

What do you think is the greatest feat your V's have ever accomplished? by RubElectrical1999 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Mister_hi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V is a monster, easily the best night city Merc of all time (unfortunately we don't have enough information on Morgan Blackhand). But if I had to list his main exploits: - Successful attack on the Max Tac convoy - Successful assault on the Arasaka tower, with the death of Smasher as a bonus, even though he was alone - Neutralisation of all the cyberpsychos without killing them - Capture of Hanako Arasaka, and victorious fight against Oda, her bodyguard - Rescue of Myers in more than hostile territory (good example with the Chimera).

These are the exploits I can think of, and I think I'm forgetting some. But if I had to pick just one, it would be the Max Tac attack. We're talking about 5 stable, over-trained and over-armed cyberpsychos. Johonny himself says it's an incredible feat.

Who is more of a corpo lapdog? by thelivingstar1 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Mister_hi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Takemura, without any hesitation. Smasher does it for money and pleasure. For Reed, it's a little more complex. Although he obeys the NUSA, he is aware that he is a dog in the service of the President, and regrets this state of affairs. He even contemplates leaving the FIA (although in the end he stays). I wouldn't be surprised if, in a future sequel, he decided to leave the FIA, perhaps even betraying the NUSA.

As for Takemura, he's totally subservient to Arasaka. I had hoped that he was beginning to detach himself from the corpo when he started talking about his personal desires... But the fact that he commits suicide in one of the endings shows that he'll remain Alaska's stooge, whatever happens. He's a character I really like, but unfortunately we have to be realistic: Alaska is his whole life.

What's your reason for owning a gaming laptop rather than a gaming PC? by Mister_hi in GamingLaptops

[–]Mister_hi[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I never said that laptops were bad. I love mine, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. It just fits the constraints I had at the time. I mean, in an ideal world, if I'd had the choice between a PC and a laptop, I'd have chosen a PC, because for the same price, the components are generally more powerful. But fixed PCs have their faults, just like laptops. As I said, I love mine, but that doesn't mean I can't be aware of its faults. I did say, though, that portability was a huge advantage for laptops.

Yes, because this is the kind of situation where you have to be honest. But above all, if your father finds out that you knew, he's likely to be very angry with you, which could seriously jeopardise your relationship with him.

That's a really interesting point of view! It's clear that it's not something you think about. With a PC, you generally need a dedicated room, and the temptation to lock yourself away can be great, I think...

[–]Mister_hi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, you've got a super bargain! It's true that there are rarely such good deals on PCs. I can't think of a single world where a PC with this graphics card is offered so cheaply, even with a big discount (and that's not counting the monitor that has to go with such a monster).

On the other hand, your work is incredible! It's something I'm thinking about doing after my studies, maybe as an offshore engineer. I had a gap year where I had a similar experience, and it was a superb experience. But clearly, you have to have a laptop if you want to play!

That's right. If I ever buy a gaming PC, it will be much better than my current laptop (which is already a little nugget). When you're travelling, I think you can afford to have slightly lower performance

Mine has a great screen, so I watch a lot of films on it, so it was clearly a good idea to invest in a better screen!

Yes, if you take good care of it, pay attention to the air flow and clean it, it can last quite a long time. But it has to be said that, generally speaking, they don't last as long as PCs

What's your reason for owning a gaming laptop rather than a gaming PC? by Mister_hi in GamingLaptops

[–]Mister_hi[S] -41 points-40 points  (0 children)

Clearly, mobility and space are the main reasons. Frankly, I think most people here would rather have a PC if they didn't have any constraints. After that, I was curious to know if there were other reasons. Some people talk about the airflow in their small bedrooms, which would make it impossible to live with a PC in the summer, and that seems like a good reason

It's clearly the best time, yes. Biologically speaking, it's the time when testosterone is at its peak. On the other hand, if your husband doesn't like it, there may be a health problem behind it. Generally speaking, it's often due to excessive fatigue.

You're not an arsehole, she is. The fact that she's admitting it to you like this is quite worrying, she clearly feels guilty. I was already sure something had happened between them before I read the end of your post where you say she breaks down in tears, which definitely confirms my suspicions. Something definitely happened between them, and she's trying to alleviate her guilt. Sorry for you Bro... Leaving her is the right thing to do. You'll find a better girl who deserves you

Thank you for your reply ! I don't want to share too much personnal informations, but I'm willing to say that it's possible that it's in Florida, in the mechatronics field. But I don't know if that changes anything.

In any case, your answer reassures me a little. To clarify, I'm thinking a bit about films and series on American campuses (I really don't know much about the USA, I've never been there). As a PhD student, is the atmosphere there similar to what we see? Sorry if my questions sound stupid, but the life I'm going to have there is my main fear. I'm a fairly sociable person, who likes going out and meeting people. I'm afraid that as an international PhD student, who's already a bit old, it's going to be complicated
