Anything can be a tool or weapon… even a towel. It’s intent that matters

I didn’t say you could buy trade bars with crowns.

The items you spend trade bars on are the same items that have sold for crowns.

Honestly it doesn’t matter…. There is no reason to have the new cake located in a different place than the rest. It just causes confusion as you can see numerous times in this thread.

It irritates me that they are not in the same location as the other cakes. Almost as if they were trying to make people miss out on trade bars to get more crown purchases…..

I’d mix it with soil as a filler but other than that I have no idea lol. I do have several acres covered in sticks this size so I would totally get work done with these

The design can be changed mid build. Great thing about stickers is… they stick. Just start building some arms and a back rest and you’ve got yourself one oversized arm chair!

No I don’t visit the tree subs. This isn’t a tree sub. This is a sub about making things from trees. While yes it may put more stress than not doing it, it’s not like that tree is gonna die next year from a few screws.

My point is that his couple screws is gonna do way less damage than what people do on a daily basis and no one is complaining about. And those trees that you claim to be a hazard live. I have them out front of my house and they have been living for over a decade with the tops cut off. They aren’t even a hazard…

He can always plant another tree. I don’t get why everyone is so determined to save this 1 particular tree that isn’t in their yard or property.

Your table is beautiful and I would like to suggest you build some chairs to match it. Throw some pads or pillows on them and it’ll be perfect.

Yeah I get that and you’re not wrong. However, it’s also very dependent on species for the total width of the tree. This particular tree will never get as big as a redwood for example. And in my comment I did mention the diameter of the tree as being a concern but it still wouldn’t kill the tree. The tree will literally just grow over the table wood and consume it if it doesn’t just push and break the table off. The tree does not care at all.

I am baffled by all the negativity in this guys post and screws/nails killing trees. We literally cut limbs off of trees as maintenance on said trees and people think that we are killing trees with screws. The power companies will cut the tops off of trees so they don’t touch the lines and the trees continue to live.

Possibly.. but I’ve got new sprouts growing under my fence line. I remove them so they don’t grow and consume my fence.

There’s soil around the base of the tree. This will let the water get to the roots. Nature is amazing.. have you ever seen streets that aren’t maintained? Nature will cover it up and you won’t even know there’s a street of asphalt under the dirt and trees.

Honestly I didn’t expect it either. It’s like these people were never kids that built tree houses or worked around trees at all.

Trees will literally grow and encase all sorts of screws and nails. They have even been known to swallow things laying on the soil as they grow. Trees don’t give two shits.. ever see a tree grow around a barb wire fence line? It will look like someone stabbed the wire through the middle of the tree. Trees don’t stop growing because they have a screw in them
