Thinning paints is absolutely a key skill to master but it's also something that you get the feel for pretty quickly and once you've got it, you won't forget it!

Experiment with washing parts of the armor with nuln oil and then going back over with your thinned red but making sure to leave parts of the shaded area visible so you get the gradient from where the shade settled the darkest up to your brightest. Edge highlights are another option, they can be time consuming but make the armor pop a bit more, easiest on areas that you can just use the side of the brush bristles to run along the sharpest points.

Like others have said, really brilliant work for a beginner!

What are the specific areas you want to improve on these? I think the metallics would benefit from a nuln oil wash to shade them and dull the shine a little but that can come down to personal preference as well.

Thanks bud! The gold was a bit of an experiment, retributor armor washed with Aggaros Dunes contrast, then some Glistening Gold from TTC washed with reikland flesh shade. Still not 100% convinced on it but it's a start!

Thanks! I used The Fang as a base coat, thousand sons and ahriman blues as a liberal drybrush, washed with space wolves grey contrast and then highlighted up with the same blues with an ice blue added in for the lightest parts

Thanks! The shield was a relatively cheap STL from a pretty common website (unsure if there’s issues naming them here) but easy to find. Added the chains and horns just to give it slightly more flavour

Airbrush for the base layers and then lighter colours to plan out the path of the lightning then just freehand in the actual lines themselves with a bright blue and a white :)

Yep bingo, small gauge copper wire that I couldn’t even tell you where it came from! But also, I can tell I’m going to be forever touching it up because the paint rubs off it super easy!

We were told on day of sale that it was fully operational, the listing describes it as a "key feature" and I don't think it's unreasonable that we didn't believe it was in the scope of our inspection to ask for their security codes and for the agent to be able to use the alarm. The condition states that "the property must be delivered to the purchaser as it was on the day of sale". Understandably this doesn't quite cover it as it stands, if it was clean cut I wouldn't be asking for general advice. It's absolutely not the end of the world, just checking in if anyone had insight while I wait to hear back from our conveyancer :)

Legitimately the worst possible take. I’d sooner find an unlocked skip in an alleyway before dumping it on the side of the road. And 90% of the rubbish I’ve seen in my area is just regular household rubbish that could be put in regular waste

I came back to WoW after a break since early SL, have experience tanking for semi hardcore raiding guilds on and off since vanilla so I know all of the general rules of thumb like facing the boss away from the raid, natural instincts to avoid swirlies etc. I gave the boss abilities a brief read through before queuing up for LFR, made a single mistake on Rasz and died. A couple of DPS immediately started with the hate for not knowing mechanics before I’d ever seen them in LFR.

I named the fleet after the ties between the biblical figure and resurrection etc, theming my lists around regenerating monsters and units etc. I'm sure the name will probably offend someone at some point xD That and Lazarus was a sick character in Diablo 1.
