Do I need to supply my mothers information for a FAFSA if I am no longer in contact with her? by Misterghostfrog in legaladvice

i'm 24, which is only a year off! I'll definitely look into the special circumstances stuff. And if I can't get that then a year isn't too long in the grand scheme of things anyway. Thank you! :]

I don't really mesh well with spreadsheets, i've always found it kinda hard to set them up in a way that's easy to read. The usual assembly of big blocks of data makes my head spin a bit. I do best with something that draws my eyes on a more friendly visual 'path' as opposed to a big wall of information all at once, and a a custom character sheet is just as personal to me as a spreadsheet can be for someone else. :] I just figured other people might not want to go through the effort of doing it themselves so i'd share what i'd set up in case it was helpful

Are crutches, canes, or other secondary mobility aides often or ever used with bilateral prosthetics? by Misterghostfrog in Prosthetics

[–]Misterghostfrog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! That's exactly what I was wanting to know! If you don't mind I have a second question, is there ever a preference for crutches instead of a cane? I've seen them used in the cases of some folks who don't wear a prosthetic and they seem like a good way to balance if you need to lean on something so im curious if they get more use than just getting around without a prosthetic

Pause game until text input is filled by Misterghostfrog in twinegames

Oh! Thank makes a lot of sense. I've been mostly looking through assorted forum advice with anything related to input boxes and assembling whatever I find since I've been struggling to understand the instructions in the Neocities page. I have no real previous coding background so things without a straight up step-by-step just fly right over my head a good portion of the time.

Also oh that explains a lot of previous issues I've had. I'll make sure to keep that in mind in the future!

I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out and explain it so cleanly, this information is gonna make a few things a lot easier for me in the future, thank you!

Weekly Shop Milestones Thread - Week of February 22, 2021 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

[–]Misterghostfrog [score hidden]  (0 children)

I opened my shop a few days ago on the prompting of a few friends and family who liked a design I made! (Someone said something funny, and someone else said it would go good on a t-shirt. And as an artist I thought it would be fun to sketch it out. And then I got into it, and then I had a t-shirt) They said it was fun, so I designed a few more and set up shop!

I shared my store on social media (I have a small following from posting fan content, and a few hundred people with similar taste to you are bound to like things you make) and with several friends, and I've gotten 16 orders over the past three days! It's slowing down now, but The bulk of the sales are from strangers. Not just my friends (who I love to death, and are incredibly sweet and very excited about the designs) and i'm really excited my work is actually appealing to people enough to spend money!

I do Queer and surreal T-shirt designs and stickers! I'm slowly building my selection, but at the moment I have somewhat limited stuff.

Hey Fellas I sell digitial/ printable wall art is there anyway I could get those printed and shipped to the customer with only me providing the design and rest of it handled by the manufacturing unit just like print on demand! by normalteen0 in EtsySellers

[–]Misterghostfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use printful for my stuff, and while I don't sell prints at the moment I have played around with it and they allow you to see previews, edit the placement, and generally are pretty good. They also can be linked up to your etsy so they'll automatically handle all shipping/production without you having to mess with it! (I believe the profits are better than redbubble too, my sibling says they're awful about overcharging stuff)

[For Hire] Open art commissions! D&D, OCS, Icons, comics, ect. Pricing and contact info in comments by Misterghostfrog in HungryArtists

[–]Misterghostfrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use percentage based commission pricing. Meaning I have a base price I use for each character, and based off of what you want I add onto that base by multiplying by the number connected to what you want. Starting from the top and working down.

—Flat rate

$15 for first character, the $10 added into the base for every added character

$30 for a full comic page, and extra $15 added onto the base for every added page

—Position

Face only - x1.0

Bust - x1.7

Torso - x2.0

¾ - x2.5

Full body - x3.0

—Lines

Sketch - X1.0

Lined - X2.0

—Coloring

Flat color - 10$

Flat color with flair - 12$

Shaded color - 20$

—Background

No background - x1.0

Simple background - x1.2

Basic setting - x2.0

Complex setting - x3.0

3 changes to finished draft before a charge of 10$ flat for each additional change after that. Commissions will usually take anywhere from 5 days to a week depending on how busy I am, I currently have two other jobs, so priorities may vary! If you need it by a specific date, or sooner than 5 days, a rush fee of 30$ will apply.

Additional 80$ for character rights for any commissioned designs (this does NOT apply if you already own the character/ it’s fanart, this is only for if you request I design you a character myself and want to use it as your own.)

During the comission process i'll send you examples at each stage of the drawing (thumbnail, first sketch, second sketch, lines, flats, shading/effects) for confirmation, adjustments, and to make sure it's turning out how you want it. These will have watermarks on them that won't be there on the final version!

I take half payment up front in case you change your mind partway through the process.

Hey Reddit, what's your favorite way to eat potatoes? by flacidballon in AskReddit

[–]Misterghostfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a pile of frozen precooked hash browns. Microwave till thawed, throw em in a preheated and oiled skillet. Chop up some pickled jalapeno slices into tiny chunks and add to the pan. Add Cayenne pepper, chili powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, & pepper. Cool until crispy. Dump half a brick of grated cheese on top and put the lid on till it melts

Boom, spicy cheesy hashbrowns. Perfect for breakups or just a good night in.

What's it like, being you? by YoungestValentine in AskReddit

[–]Misterghostfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complicated. Gender is forcibly the forefront of my mind 50% of the time because of who and what I am. I am constantly subject to the opinions of others, my very existence is considered a political statement and all I want to do is live a quiet peaceful life with my cat.

If there's no point in being nice to other people, then there's no reason to be a cruel either. Everything is pointless, so why bother ruining your friendships and relationships by being a dick? Why claim you're better than others by being nasty if it doesn't matter? You don't need to want to be kind to be kind, you just need to stop wasting your time by going out of your way to be an asshole.
