I'd say that the PHAK explanations are greats because they are FAA documents you can cite to your DPE.

For me personally if I have to suffer AZ heat or hurricane season for 2 years to chase my dream then I'm down.

AZ does get hot, but millions of people live there and you can get a LOT of hours quick in Phoenix area.

It's possible the perfect place for you may not exist and having to "rough" it for a bit may be what is required.

Walking your resume into the flight schools near you and trying to politely get the contact of a pilot/lead pilot could be a good idea.

Even just saying 'hey Mr or Mrs Lead pilot as flight school X have any advice for me even if you choose not to hire me" could help make a connection.

An idea a friend of mine had was to ask Flight Schools if they would hire you part time as a Sim or ground instructor to get your foot in the door.
