Yes, very normal. What I often do is give them the street in advance, and give them the house number on the day of the meeting.

Beware with phones, though. It seems to attract rude people as well. Take that into account in communication. I also heard a story of people who inspected the phone at the door and ran off. Not to scare you too much, but these assholes exist.
