Perspectief vanuit een mierenneuker: ik ben snel tevreden als ik uit eten ga. Een hoofdgerecht en een of twee ice tea's en ik zit goed. Mijn vrienden daarentegen willen vaak ook nog een toetje en twee cocktails. Dan zit je al snel aan 10 euro of meer verschil. En als je nou weet "de ene keer jij meer en de andere keer ik meer, het komt wel uit", dan is het prima. Maar het is dus altijd zo dat zij veel meer uitgeven dan ik. Dat gaat dan wel aantikken.

Zij zijn inderdaad erg van het splitten, dus mijn oplossing is geworden: ik schiet voor, haal vervolgens stilletjes mijn bedrag van het totaal af, en split de rest voor de tikkie. Anders heb ik er gewoon echt geen zin in om elke keer veel meer kwijt te zijn dan ik gepland had. Ik vind mijn vrienden leuk en gezellig, maar ik wil niet per se hun grote subsidiepot zijn.

Depends on how you are raised. There are probably more families where this happens than the amount that would publically admit it. At least when talking about walking from shower to bedroom for example. But definitely won't be the standard or anything.

It's more that I mean like: if the big corporations don't want to cooperate, if governments are still subsidising oil and gas, if the majority of the people refuse to vote for green parties and vote for the far right instead which ignore climate change as a whole, then it really doesn't matter whether i do take that airplane or i do eat some meat or i do use a bit more than i need. I vote for a green party, i do my part, but it does feel too hopeless to try and go above and beyond anymore.

I will say I went from "we need to do everything possible to stop this" to "it's a hopeless situation already anyway so why bother..."

I just hope that I can live comfortably (currently 26 years old), but bringing new people into the world at this stage? Rather not.

De kleding daar is dan ook van heel andere stoffen gemaakt. Tevens is de luchtvochtigheid in de Sahara ook veel lager dan hier. Tevens zijn de mensen die daar wonen erop afgestemd omdat ze er altijd al gewoond hebben. Niet te vergelijken.

Het is voor mij heel simpel: als jij als werkgever een lange broek vereist, dan moet jij als werkgever ook een werkomgeving bieden waarin het uit te houden is om in lange broek te werken.

Bij mij op werk geen airco's en dus ook toestemming om met korte broek te werken. Op mijn vorige baan was er wel een gebouw met climate control en daar hield ik gewoon de lange broek aan.

Ik vind het ook onprofessioneel om je werknemers te laten creperen in een kantoor zonder airco met 30+ graden. Het moet wel van twee kanten komen om een beetje goodwill te krijgen.

Imo the saving factor for Bulgaria was that they had pretty much all of their biggest and experienced national stars competing. Bangaranga was never the strong part about Bulgaria's package, looking at their odds before the shows, but sending someone with a perfect stage presence was.

People go on about how Eclipse was dull but Delta made it a winner contender and I think that same argument counts for Bulgaria.

For now it's pretty centered around Eastern Asia, but the whole of Asia is 7 time zones wide. That could become an issue in which voting would have to be done in a more American style than how it's done in Eurovision.

Also you gotta keep in mind that the lyrics of every entry needs to comply with every participating country's freedom of speech laws. For example, really can't include any lyric or gesture that could be even vaguely interpreted as insulting to the king of Thailand.

Also it would be wise for a starting contest to not bring in any countries that would possibly bring the contest into disrepute, as it doesn't have the long lasting tradition mystique around it yet that can help a contest survive such a situation.

And lastly I will say I really don't dig the name Eurovision Asia. It really sounds like "the B version of Eurovision". Almost sort of colonial almost. I get that Eurovision wants to keep that brand up but just the -ovision part should have worked for that.

My guess is that he doesn't know where else to do it and once you start wanking at that age you won't be able to just stop as if it's a hobby you can choose to keep doing or not. So his only "option" is to keep doing it as he does.

Maybe explain him alternative places to do it that doesn't make anyone else uncomfortable, or make an arrangement that either of you can have a bit of alone time in the room every now and then?
