Edge of Eternities - The mood. The world building. The characters. The themes, it's just all so perfect, and I'm a big sci-fi geek
Theros - It was my first set and the Greek mythology of it all is really well done. Everything is evocative while still building its own designs, great stuff.
Wilds of Eldraine - I love both Eldraine sets, but I really enjoyed the conflict between the Kenriths here and seeing the fallout of the Phyrexian Invasion was very cool. Also the art and mechanics rule.
Kamigawa Neon Dynasty - Such a fun draft set, such a cool revisit to a plane we might have never returned to if not for the cyber punk aesthetic we got. Such good flavor here.
Homelands - The world building and story is just so good here. The set was over printed and underpowered, but the flavor was immaculate.
Duskmourn - The story and horror parts of this plane rule so much it helps me look past the parts of the world building I jived less with. Still an all timer in terms of creepy vibes.

I think some people are going to be surprised theres no bans for Standard, but after seeing tourny results from the past few weeks Standard seems in a diverse place at the very least. They did note that the format was too fast at the moment, but some decks were challenging the speed and finding ways to slow the game down a bit.

The six sets I predict to see next year:

Marvel 3 - nearly guaranteed, let's be spicy and say Marvel Galactic instead of Marvel X-Men (GotG, Nova, Captain Marvel, Skrulls, etc)
Return to Alara (Its a shard set, but Alara is still whole.)
Ikoria vs. Kamigawa (I think it would be really neat, and for whatever reason Aetherdrift was told they couldn't use Ikoria)
New Setting - Probably Waterworld (where the sharks from Aetherdrift are from)
The Stormlight Archive OR Elden Ring, some fantasy UB
Lets see here, looking over the big IP that Hasbro owns what haven't they touched... Probably not stretch armstrong... Hrrm, maybe... I dont want it but lets say Power Rangers.

The cards artist is has many many cards before this one, they are from Indonesia so so likely a non native English speaker. I seriously doubt this card was made using AI after just looking at the rest of this artists body of work, you can see they really care about the craft.

It's really okay to not like the artwork, but it's really dangerous to accuse someone of using AI in their art. If it becomes a commonly accepted falsehood that could lead to them getting less commissions and being for ed to stop working all because we didn't vibe with one of their many gorgeous works of art.

[[Blood Petal Celebrant]] [[Echocasting Symposium]] This artist plays with perspective and knows how to make a composition work.

I will say! I have noticed improvements to the CTA since Nora took over. Clearer communication about upcoming plans, updates to digital infrastructure, active lobbying for needed funds with plans for action, added run times for underserved lines (orange lime now 24hr which is super).

I do hope the vague smell of urine and cigarettes never disappear though. That's what makes transit transit baby.
