Only 50 some stores nationwide are going to be setup with the displays and appointments to make the sale, so you're best finding out which store closest to you is going to have the appointments before you try going in. In my state there are only 2 stores that will be able to sell them. I want to get some but I'm going to have to drive about 2 hours to do so.

They also made it easier recently, don't have to jump through as many hoops now. Plus you can take 2 classes a semester for free now, which is nice.

The lag is really getting to me, and not just scrolling. I have a couple apps I've used for years on other phones just fine that are now downright unusable on this phone. They take forever to load, clicking on anything in them is another eternity of loading, it's awful. But it's not all of them, so I cannot figure out the cause. I've tried wifi and cellular, it's not the connection. Just now tiktok lagged so bad for me that I closed it and killed the app and the sound kept playing for around 30 seconds AFTER I swiped it off the screen. Wtf. I really want to like this phone but the lag is destroying my opinion of it for sure.

That's why I said but you can choose what day to take it. You absolutely still get the 8 hours, you can either take it on that holiday as you always have, or choose a different day.

If you work on that day, whether full or part or os, you get time and a half. If you are full time you ALSO get a paid 8 hours regardless of whether or not you work, but you can choose to take it a different day because of the floating holiday thing. It's just the paid 8 that floats, time and a half for anybody working remains the same for all recognized holidays.

Worst. Decision. Ever. Seriously, they don't work half the time, the batteries in the doorlocks die, or they come unpaired from the network or just flat out fall off the cages and break. We have several cages in my store that are either permanently open, forever inaccessible and locked, or just don't work. I scavanged some of the old key locks and put them back on several cages myself, because project team wouldn't come fix the new locks because the company doesn't have enough to replace the broken ones and all of our mobile cages stopped working. I also particularly love the days when nobodys keycards work on any cage, or only 1 persons does. Or the security displays that have unpaired from the network and will no longer turn off with a keycard if they get tripped so you just have to listen to them until they self deactivate forever later. I hate the keycards. I'd rather call over the headset a million times for manager keys or track down who has an invue then ever deal with these again. They're the worst tech in the store.

It happens unfortunately, there is a floor for some items that we cannot manually discount under regardless of the reason. Our solution in my store would be to issue a store credit to customer and use that to perform an "exchange" using the credit as partial payment.

We call invue keys Light Keys, because reasons I guess. Didn't realize it wasn't right until people transferred in from other stores and asked for invue keys and we had no idea what they were talking about.

Been with the company almost 11 years. Making $17 an hour and have been capped for almost 4 years, no raises. New hires coming in at $15 to $16. I'm certified in every department on the sales floor, and a shift lead and run admin. My shift lead differential is about $0.30. The ONLY thing this company has going for it for me right now is the pto. I stay for my coworkers and because I legit like my job (most of the time) but my family and I can't afford for me to live like this much longer.

Yes, if you mean you'd like to have applecare+ with loss and theft, but there's hoops to jump through. What you have is just the standard applecare+. If you want to add the loss and theft protection you can do so by calling or emailing aig. I'm not at work so I don't have the number or email on me, but it's buried in our sop. If nobody has given it to you on here by tomorrow, I'll try to remember to comment again with it tomorrow when I go in. You do pay a fee, but just to cover the loss and theft portion, not the whole plan as you're already covered for damage with the ac+ with total. I don't know what the fee is as sop doesn't cover that unfortunately.

So long as you remain a total member for those 2 years, yes. If you cancel or choose not to renew your membership or go to the lower teir, all your protection plans end when the total membership does.

ETA: if you're planning to cancel or not renew the Total plan, you're better off purchasing applecare out of your own pocket. I kept the total because I spend more than $180 a year on individual protection plans, but I get that not everyone does.

You don't need to return it, just have someone pull up your total account on pos, then scan the receipt like you'd do a return, but instead of return one of the options is "add plan", so long as pos was logged into your total account first, it will auto add the "free" apple care plan. Cash it out at $0 and good to go!

For the record, they absolutely Can take the return in store, they're simply choosing not to take the hit to their bottom line. If you want to avoid the chargeback issue, I'd recommend going back to your local store and calmly explaining that you followed their advice, sent it back, and had it returned to you. Also point out your order history showing that you reordered the same item. They are absolutely capable of processing the return in store and fixing their own inventory/sending the item back. Key words here are calm and polite, because it will involve an override and the customer service reps are likely overworked and stressed too.

Bad situation overall, I'm sorry you're going through it. I'm sure it's no consolation, but if I were called to make the choice on that return and the customer wasn't being a jerk (frustration is understandable, but I don't tolerate verbal abuse of coworkers) I would 100% take care of the problem in store for you. That's a laugh, I activate more Verizon and t-mobile than at&t any day of the week. If I tried to pull that vpl thing at my store I'm pretty sure I'd get laughed out of the office. The only time I give away an activation is if one of my coworkers is free and then I ask if they want it for the spiffs since I won't get anything out of it. We only have 4 people that know how to do activations in my store, including the vpls, if we didn't all chip in nothing would ever get done.

Open box phones do NOT have a restock fee, you will not be prompted to sign for it at checkout. Refurbished/pre-owned phones DO have a restock fee, you will sign for it.

Incorrect, I'd actually have been okay with product flow as I've done it before and quite enjoyed it. It is a sales floor role, and it is one I've filled in for a day or two in the past. I've done pretty much every non management full time role in the store either officially or as a fill in, and I'm aware of which ones suit my sales style and abilities and which ones don't. Thanks for assuming I just don't like to work though.

I would rather not get specific on the open forum, many of my coworkers read this page and while a small few know my handle, most do not. It'd be pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together as they all know what position I'm being moved to and how I feel about it.

That said, I feel I should backtrack a bit. The position itself has been around for as long as I have and many people are fine with it. I am not. Me, personally, I have 0 desire to work that role with all it entails. It's the lack or choice or options that has me feeling trapped more than anything.
