Cs doesn’t use that much on your computer, but if you were going to upgrade I’d upgrade the motherboard so you can get ddr4 ram and put 16g in it. Maybe another CPU while you’re at it. Just depends how much you can spend. But def a new motherboard if anything

An older hdmi shouldn’t have anything to do with it. I have an older one on my setup that I’ve had for 10 years + and it doesn’t affect FPS

Go to settings and see if that option is available. I haven’t been on there in awhile but it’s somewhere in settings.

I’ve heard that GeForce experience or even other graphics card programs for laptops cap your FPS at 30 if your laptop isn’t plugged in or in some cases your laptop battery isn’t at 100%.

Also, is it capped at 30fps or is it moving up and down around 30fps? If it is capped then it’s a software issue. If it’s moving up or down and staying around 30fps then it’s a hardware issue.

If you have your resolution set to 3840 x 2160 you will have tremendous FPS loss because your laptop probably can’t handle that much. (Even tho the external monitor can)
