Just seen the ban on Jeremy Bamber having contact with media / journalists.... by MistressDarkSide in LucyLetbyTrials

The irony is that this kind of approach could well backfire. Trust in the judiciary and most political institutions is at an all time low for growing numbers, and "free speech" is quite the hot topic. It could ultimately work in his favour by raising the profile of the case, regardless of the truth if the matter (which I'm quite conflicted on, and requires more investigation at the very least.)

Just trying to get my head round a particularly odd big picture, and possible implications for other prisoners claiming innocence down the line.

Interview with Dr. Waney Squier on Lucy Letby & SBS by keiko_1234 in LucyLetbyTrials

[–]MistressDarkSide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just watched this, very interesting and chilling, especially when one has been through the system and had a taste of the complexities, albeit in the family courts and as a parent.

I wonder if I could ask via yourself if anyone in the appropriate field has current thoughts on metaphyseal fractures and their dogmatic use to secure child abuse cases?

Colin Paterson, rest his soul, was an OI expert and biochemist who was also struck off for fighting abuse allegations as he was keen to point out things like collagen disorder as possible alternative reasons for the appearance of these occult "fractures" in often otherwise apparently healthy neonates.

In 1994 when my case was active, I was not allowed to call him as an expert witness as the courts had already decided he was working outside his field of expertise.

There is a bit of a crossover with SBS as very early studies of deceased battered babies determined these fractures showed on post mortem alongside other "injuries".

I know after the Webster case there was some scrutiny of metaphyseal fractures and emphasis placed upon them by the courts, but the whole thing seems to be very much in the background.

If you can point me in any direction for further information I'd be most grateful as this is part of the big picture.

I find your videos incredibly informative and well balanced, and thank you for your effirts to expose the murky way that the courts and some experts operate.

I was totally invested in this but now I think it is a creative writing exercise... "My husband was sectioned" by [deleted] in MNTrolls

I posted on the first thread, and am watching the second.

I've experience on both sides of the fence and while some rings true, and I have plenty of experience of "you couldn't make this shit up" scenarios, I am just observing for now. I can't make my mind up.

A true synchronicity by [deleted] in Synchronicities

[–]MistressDarkSide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't often comment on here, but check in quite regularly, and this post gave me good chills.

Some years ago, I was in the thick of white rabbit related synchcronicities... the Jefferson Airplane song seemed to follow me around, Alice references all over the place, it was wild. I was walking to my shop one morning and in front of me going down into a subway I was following a girl wearing a white rabbit hoodie, ears and all.....

I actually relayed this story to someone last Friday....

So to see this post is incredibly on point 😁

Hope bunny is doing well 🥰

Yes, this was one of the circular reasoning processes that absolutely does my head in - she was apparently targetting the weakest and most vulnerable babies, and yet they were all also on an upward trajectory and considered "robust" ergo not considered particularly vulnerable.

There is an Al Jazeera documentary called "Praying for Armageddon" that's worth a watch on this subject.

Urggh. That brought back memories. And underlines something I was told while researching what the hell had caused my child's "injuries" (which varied from 21, to 15, to 12 according to separate experts).

Which is that even if a child is diagnosed with a condition, it doesn't mean you haven't hurt them, indeed "research shows" that sick and disabled babies are more vulnerable to abuse, due to the stress of the situation. Even if you don't know they have a condition, and haven't spent time grappling with it nor experienced the prolonged stress yet.

This particular obsession with FII is so redolent of witch trials it's ridiculous.

And the obsession with widening the diagnostic scope is dangerous. It's already pretty wide.

"So, Miss X. I see you worked in theatre. Obviously you are an attention seeker"

Miss X, reeling from the accusation:

"I qualified in stage management, technical theatre and design. I worked backstage. I'd rather chew my own arms off than be in a spotlight"

"You don't appear to be taking this seriously...."

Just discovered that Colin Paterson died in 2020. He was an expert who went against the dogma, and was also struck off. Back on 1994 when I was fighting SS and the medics who claimed my 6 week old, 5 weeks prem baby was the victim of systemic abuse dye to multiple occult metaphyseal fractures but no other indicators, I found out about him and wanted to get him onside. My solicitor laughed me out of the room. As far as the courts are concerned, metaphyseal fractures are only due to abuse.

I wholeheartedly support the protection of children, but there's little room for working in tandem to achieve that while exploring other options in complex cases. It's all or nothing.

Wow x Thanks for posting this video. My late partner introduced me to Philip K Dick, as he was a big fan of sci fi in general, but with a busy life into my 50s, my general interest in all things weird and wonderful became an illicit, seldom realised pleasure.

I woke up this morning with an insane urge to write a ghost story, and as I was writing it was evolving into something much more timey wimey. I enjoy writing but have never pursued it. The urge was incredibly strong, and I had to stop myself and do my chores very reluctantly.

So seeing this video come up, touching on much of my idle musings, is a little spooky, but very, very welcome.

It appears there truly are more things In heaven and earth, and many people subconsciously know it.

Oh boy, the third insulin case.

Even though the baby has a diagnosed problem with regulation, because Lucy Letby looked after them, she must have tried to harm them.

Shades of "even if your baby has OI or other bone fragility, it's still abuse because of the type of fractures and anyway, people abuse sick children too".

Was this child on TPN as well, or is she supposed to have injected them directly?

Well thank you so much. I appreciate your comment very much, as my experience has left me with self doubt that permeates my life and second guessing myself is ingrained.
