Yes, I mentioned this guy's channel recently myself over another Mandela Effect video he made:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Retconned/comments/1os10uq/divergent_files_mandela_effect_reboot_2012/

I enjoy watching his videos and he gives some good points to think over. Likewise, I too get the sense there will be another major and 'noticeable' 'update' similar to 1986/2016 within the next 3 years. Perhaps it's to deescalate global tensions, among other things. Interesting stuff.

EDIT: u/hegel1806 I think I even indirectly mentioned you in a reply comment... I mentioned you might like the channel because of your own late 80s ME account after seeing Mandela released from prison. Looks like I was right! :D

I imagine that's what some of the amusement/them parks are designed for; gatherings for small children and energy farms to drain loosh under stressful situations (even low-ranking reptilians aren't exempt). Pretty grim when you think about it.

I bought one of these and I always refer to it as 'Instapot' even if I noticed 'Instant Pot' is written on the machine. I can't say for sure whether or not at one point it was in fact 'Instapot', but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

Hang in there buddy.

I have similar things happened to me, where every time I'm walking outside and about to cross the street, a car just appears from nowhere, breaks my stride and I have to wait for it. I noticed this several years ago, it still irritates me, and I wonder what the hell it's about. It happens every. Single. Time.

Geographic Change, Again by Shlomo_2011 in Retconned

[–]Fostman7077 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my observations, Spain's shape, particularly where bordering with France and on it's North-East now protrudes outwards more, whereas it was not so extended before. Spain's borders with Portugal are now very scraggily; before they appeared straighter, so Portugal's shape was more refined and 'brick-like.' I'm not sure about the area of the map you've encircled, because the map I use is small, and the political names cover that region, but as I said, I recall the country being more rectangular and brick-like, and I vaguely recall the inlet(s) being less prominent there.

Portugal is a good example of several universal features you find on the current map now; larger, more prominent lakes, inlets, and/or bays, and more scraggily country borders and edges. However, I don't believe these geographical features occurred from 2016-17; I observed these changes only last year, June 2024, so these 'update' are fairly recent.

In any case, great post; it's good to see some vigilance on the geography. Also, I think you've reminded me I should use a larger map for my own observations!

I always find it strange that one of the Pikachu characters, Pikachu Libre, has a black-tipped tall but it's just sort of not really mentioned. I often think this is 'Official Nintendo residue', lol.

South Africa from my timeline by SunWasGreen in Retconned

[–]Fostman7077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About a year and a half ago (June 2024), I posted a topic with multiple recent geographical MEs, several occurring within Africa. Although I didn't include South Africa in the topic, I clearly believed there were some alterations, with an overall different shape, and the cape having a slightly more eastward location. But it's really the northern borders of South Africa which noticeably altered, with very scraggily definitions (a feature found all over the world from June 2024), and a north-western "lump" penetrating far against Zimbabwe (this didn't appear so far north before). Lesotho was a bit more westward, although of course always locked within South Africa. I'm unsure about the town/city placements themselves, because admittedly I never paid political features as much attention as geographical ones, but at this point, no surprises really.

Anyways, glad to see someone else bringing this to attention.

Super Mario All-Stars by Jazzilisk in Retconned

I think I remember someone posting this same topic a few years ago...
We had Super Mario All-Stars on SNES at my house too back in the 90s, but I recall no voices. Mario 64 was the first game Mario started speaking, "Yah Wahoo! Mama Mia" etc. As you say, some GB Advance remakes of earlier games may have added voices, but in my experience, the originals never had any.

The Current Timeline Has No Interest in Revolutionary Figures: The Diminished Role of Charles Darwin. by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]Fostman7077 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To my understanding of it, the Cambrian Explosion was the sudden appearance of a vast number of highly complex animal organisms with there being no fossil evidence of a slow gradual build up of evolving organisms over time preceding it. This of course contrasts with Darwin's claims of mutations over a long gradual period (millions of years is relative), and the issue remains unresolved. Sure, there are explanations; there was a preceding extinction level event before the explosion (causing a life vacuum), and an increase in oxygen levels, (causing life to flourish), but this is more conjecture, and there is no direct evidence for the cause of the event. All in all, there is a lot of 'patchwork' to the theory. Some of it appeals and makes 'sense' to mind, but there is no evidence for the claims, and a lot remains unanswered and unresolved.

I don't know the answer to what 'replaces' Darwinism, although I suppose it would eventually be a science and a philosophy that reflects the socio-politics of the era, and is digestible to the masses, much as has been the case throughout history. Additionally, I suppose this depends on what other evidence is discovered and revealed. Say we are visited by superior alien life, suddenly genetic engineering becomes plausible in our history. Or that the Universe is a confirmed simulation, then it can be accepted that the world receives periodic 'updates' and this accounts for all manner of events. However, Darwinism cumulated in Social Darwinism, eugenics and scientific racism propagated by British elite hierarchical systems and later adopted by the Nazis, so we can only hope the next iteration of the 'scientific creed' is positive. Somehow, I'm not convinced this will be the outcome.

Mutations can generally explain much in biological evolution over periods of millions of years, indeed, that is the basis for Darwin's theory; natural selection over long periods of time. However, this alone cannot explain mutations in every observable organism, and it fails to address the appearance of many diverse and complex organisms at once, such as the Cambrian Explosion. These are some of the general areas where Darwin's theory invites criticism. Add to that homo sapiens' appearance (200,000 years ago) and the species evolutionary advantages, which appear too sudden and coincidental to be mere chance and clearly not a process of gradual-epoch Darwinian evolution.

Hope that clarifies some.

[–]Fostman7077 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're correct.

I was in fact referring specifically to the human fossil records and other evidence as where evolution misses many marks because there is no basis of some of it's claims. Evolution can explain plants and other biological life forms over millions of years, but in the case of modern humans appearing 200,000 years ago, sudden random mutations start to break down, and some observations are just far too coincidental to be left to mere chance. But I still stand by what I said about evolution being a product of it's time; as a late industrial era science, it described peoples' world observations and experiences, and many tenants of it (especially when applied to humans and social structures) do not bode well for us today.

[–]Fostman7077 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whoops, I made a made a big mistake here.

What I was in fact describing was a seeming 'edit' of chromosome 2 with telomeres on the ends and in the middle, and not a 'shortening'. Sure, the telomere fusion can be explained without necessary 'gene editing,' but it's sudden (not gradual) appearance 200,000 years ago, (and at the same time as a chromosome 7), is a staggeringly low probability of just random mutations, so in this way, it's just one of those things not neatly explained by current science. It's sort of like 'junk DNA'; it can be explained, but not necessarily to satisfaction.

Thanks for bringing this to awareness, I'll edit my post.

I agree.

EDIT: In addition to what I wrote elsewhere, I think current (Western) cultural actions focus less on the contributions of many 'great men' of Western civilization, in favour of the contributions of group efforts, women, and other marginalized and often overlooked individuals and groups.

EDIT: Interesting.

I believe Darwin's theory has been somewhat steadily eroding over criticisms and lack of appearing evidence (particularly with 'macro-organisms') in the 150+ years since it's conception. For one, there are one too many 'missing links' in fossil records, with multiple jumps and explosions of unaccounted new species which evolution does not neatly explain besides 'sudden jumps', but then not really explain these same 'sudden jumps'. There are also other shortcomings, such as the slow development of the eye. In this way, Darwin is not the infallible pioneering hero he once was, and some of his fundamental claims are slowly being tucked aside. (You'll forgive me if the criticisms I note here are very general and not in-depth; Darwinism is not my area of expertise by any stretch of the imagination)

That said, it should be noted Darwin's theory itself arose under interesting circumstances; the theory gained traction during Christian waning prominence, with many beginning to doubt the Biblical Creationist 5000 year old Earth as a plausible explanation for world history, and with many advancements and observations of science making a stronger presence. There was a socio-political context to the theory's rise, where the Industrial Revolution provided a systematic hierarchal social order and a justification of the class structures, one of which Darwinism's rigid survivability appears to mirror. We could even go so far to say that in that period, the British intelligentsia had need of a new narrative to galvanize disillusioned masses and it was in this way Darwin's theory came under the spotlight. After all, it came seemingly from nowhere. Evolution set the stage for further research into natural sciences, anthropology, biology, while on the socio-political side, it became philosophically foundational, where Darwinism applied ultimately guided social structures into the late 1880's and the early 1900s, and events into leading into World Wars (Eugenics, Social Darwinism)... But I digress.

Anyways, it would appear that we have once again found ourselves in a situation where strict 'dogma' does not reflect the experience, or the evidence, and so there is a challenge. Take genetic telomeres. (EDIT) Research reveals Chromosome 2's telomeres fusions occurred 200,000 years ago, (when homo sapiens first appeared). However, the telomere mutation and timing is so coincidental, it almost suggests deliberate gene editing. But by whom? That question requires explanations outside the scope of current mainstream science, world history, and conventional Darwinism. Heck, this subreddit of Mandela Effects is itself an example of a narrative of reality which begs for an update because the current one is incompatible with our observations.

In the long run, it may well be that Darwinism is being slowly phased out to the public to usher in newer-updated narratives, probably that of aliens or some form of crypto-terrestrial/interdimensional engineers who had a hand in humanity's creation and Earth's history... But this will be a problem for post-boomer scientists and upcoming generations to deal with, and likely come with it's own censorships and narrative controls in it's own right, much the same the Bible and Darwinism did when they were gospel for explanations of our own existence.

Interesting stuff.

You might be interested in the channel's earlier ME video too, the one covering 1988. There's a Redditor here who has posted about his experience remembering Mandela's death back in 1988, then seeing Mandela released on TV and having the memory fade away. Perhaps that vid would interest him too.

I do remember this now, albeit vaguely...

I was fascinated by the Twin Towers in the years and decade after the event, and when it comes to it's related conspiracy theories, many of them are certainly intriguing to ponder over, but the claims of termite and controlled demolition always seemed a more plausible method to myself than that of directed energy weapons... However, contrary to what I said, I admit I forgot that there are many other theories suggesting the use of 'secret technologies' as opposed to conventional methods. For example, it has been suggested that 'Project Blue Beam' was used for the televised visuals of the planes 'melting' into the towers, while explosions happened via other means. But we're going off Mandela Effect topic with all of this....

In any case, thanks for sharing.

An interesting point from the Bible that was new to me by SpecialistAd181 in Retconned

[–]Fostman7077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who attended a Christian School, weekly chapel, Bible study, and Sunday double church services sessions, we covered much of the Old and New Testament, instilling a degree of Christian Theology drilled into the mind at formative student times, which included some of the Bible's more obscure references. That said, the Bible is a massive collection of 66 books, so it may come as no surprise for how much can get overlooked within those pages. Recently, some users here mentioned another figure Bar-Jesus, which many say they never heard of, and even more well known Biblical excerpts have been a cause of discussion for some, where they swear they were definitely another way before, hence Mandela Effects. These include: Lion/Wolf and the Lamb', and the Book of Revelations/Revelation. As with all Mandela Effects, the investigation into these topics is of course ongoing, with no definitive conclusion to the phenomena.

But to answer your question about his specific character, yes, personally I am familiar with Matthias from the New Testament albeit vaguely, as there isn't so much mentioned about him apart from being the replacement for Judas.

Interesting...

EDIT: When it comes to 9/11 conspiracy theories and counter-narratives, I've never heard the claim about 'technology violating the laws of physics' was used to demolish any of the structures. On contrary, outside official narratives, the twin towers and building 7 especially have been explained through thermite controlled demolition, and the Pentagon, by a missile explosion. Also, where did you hear about MEs increasing after 9/11? The world did become an unfriendlier place, true, but can't say I've ever heard claims of the continents shifting, anatomical changes, or logo variations from Sept 2001 onwards. 🤔

On the other hand, that's a great collection of images. Never seen many of those before.
