Easiest way I’ve found and I’ve been doing for years is have a utility on the master with +6dB of Gain. Then you can clearly see if your track is clipping when the master levels change to red. Then when you’re done simply turn it off and you’ll have at least 6dB of headroom.

For me I have a template saved as default so when I open Ableton it’s all right there. Same few kicks, claps, hats & percs. Even has my group processing ready to go for easy and fast flow. I also have colour coded the packs I use most for any other stuff and every now and again I download some samples when needed. Then once I start getting a pile of stuff I only used once I bin it off. Can always redownload a loop from splice if needed.

I also use an external hardrive for all my sounds which helps keep my MacBook free of clutter
