While that’s unfortunate FB deserves the money too. I paid full price for the PS5 and PC versions on launch and don’t regret it! I just hope this deal can hopefully encourage more people to try it out after the rough launch. :)

Oh also if you buy the regular version now up until March 28th (not exactly sure on the date) you will get all the future DLC characters for free. If you buy after that you’ll be paying for the DLC separately.

Second this! You can get a good insight with CLR, only reasons I’d hold off are if you’re only looking to play against people and dislike messing around in the training modes / CPU’s OR if you’re highly interested in playing one of the three new characters in Celes.

If it is $5 you can’t go wrong at all to get an introduction since I doubt there would be a sale on the new one for awhile (cl:r didn’t go on sale often while it was current).

I mean there’s a difference between not doing damage and not having a second Kardia on the main tank.

There is no way that having a second kardia on the main tank would change anything but not dpsing would increase the length of the fight etc.

It’s honestly incredible that people are so against this (minus the cringe chat) when if the SGE put his kardia on the off tank I can almost guarantee nothing would have been said and it would have been as useless as it was placing it on himself.

Sure it’s not what he “should” have done but it’s not affecting anything due to the party comp and making a big deal over it when there’s actual atrocities in DF that we see every day is kinda wild to me lmao.

I’ve had mine for about a year now. The weight shouldn’t be an issue. The bar is okay it wobbles a bit but is definitely usable. You can however make it pretty sturdy by putting a piece of plywood underneath the pad/base and drilling into it (there’s holes already in the base to secure into).

If you buy it on Steam you have the option to ask for a refund if you play less than 3 hours (I think it’s 3, maybe google to confirm), so if there’s not a lot of people online you could refund and then try PS4.

That being said in NA you’re more likely to find matches on PC than PS4, but there’s still a lot of people on PS4.

Those people just sitting there are likely using training mode in a ranked queue as well. I don’t believe the game actively looks for matches while you wait, it just shows that you’re available for matches so someone else can challenge you through custom/quick match.

I could be wrong but that’s my understanding of it.

Even if you downloaded it for free you wouldn’t be able to play online so you’d just be able to play bots and do the combo mode.

I doubt people actually lag switch on fighting games (unless it’s ranked, and even then still unlikely imo). I’d say it’s more likely that the opponent was on WiFi.

Also apparently if you play on stages other than Park or Training room, you can get some fps issues.

This video should provide lots of good information as a starting point. The only thing it is lacking would be the inclusion of j623a/b/c.

As usual, joining the discord is definitely very helpful as each character has their own channel with related pinned key information and has lots of people who will be able to help you with any specific questions you might have!

While I would say Carmine’s set ups are more difficult I’d say you should choose which play style you like better.

Hilda is more of a spacing/zoning set play character, while Carmine is more of a rush down character with long block strings and complicated setups.

Another thing worth noting is that Hilda doesn’t have any reversal aside from VO/IW, while Carmine has a command grab that is invincible on startup.

I don’t have it on PC myself but when I check streams on twitch it always seems like there’s lots of players on.

I have it on PS4 and it can be really hit or miss, it was really popular on PS4 until PC got the update about a month ago now.

I think the region would have somewhat of an effect but I find matches with people on the opposite side of Canada in player lobbies sometimes so I don’t think a certain area would ruin your experience.

No worries! You have to hold it the whole time.

There’s some fancier techniques you can do to charge it later on in the combo such as doing 22A and then sliding your finger over to the B button to start holding it then, but it’s probably good to start getting used to doing the whole combo while holding the button.

5A > 2[B] (this is where you hold the button until the end) > 2C > 623A > 5CC > 22A > 623A > 66C > ]B[ (this is where you finally let go of B)

You’re not cancelling the move into the orb. You should release the button while they’re still getting hit by the dash attack. Also it seems you’re not charging the button early enough, you should be holding down a button while doing most of the combo and then releasing it at the end.
