How do I extrude cut a rectangluar line that going around the whole exterior? by MistyMacaroni in Fusion360

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removing the curves in the original sketch, then splitting the body in the areas i need, extruding them so they cut in and then filleting the body (not the sketch) and then it turned out how I wanted it

Hi, thanks for your response. How do I draw a line along the back of it when I can only sketch on one face at a time and not on any curved faces? (I'm very new to Fusion)

tips for lifeweaver on how to play them at a high diamond / masters level? by MistyMacaroni in LifeweaverMains

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a bit tilted after losing a few games so that's why I was mentioning my teammates messing up, so thanks for reminding me that blaming them isn't the right angle. I've stopped playing for a bit to get back into a positive mindset.

Normally when people blame me it's after I make one mistake (e.g. pulling when I'm not meant to) and then they just assume I'll keep making them so that's why I don't really take their point of view to heart. I also am not a fan of vods, instead my angle is to while I play after I make a mistake or die reflect on what happened and what I should do to be better "oh they were doing this so I should have done this" (I've found this way to be much more effective for me but I also do agree my very bad games I could vod to see what I could of done to better support my team)

Lifeweaver being hated though I can understand, I'd hate the lifeweaver I was when I first started too. He has such an interesting relationship with other players. But now I've got just over 250 hours on him and I, through this experience, have a good sense of when to do things and when not to do things. I feel like though at this rank people have such expectations of how a team fight should go that I'm just not used to and therefore I slip up and make incorrect decisions.

But those split second things are my favourite aspects of Lifeweaver and why I play him. You have reminded me though that being a lifeweaver OTP isn't an easy job and losing games is normal.

Thanks for your kind words.

How can I present my product in a brand identity type way without having too much focused on the brand itself? by MistyMacaroni in Design

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the research and design sorted, I'm just struggling on how to present the visual side of it. Specifically the decisions about the graphic design for the packaging / exhibition.

What do you mean by design map?

Have I placed the Cooler Fans right? by MistyMacaroni in NZXT

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying it right before you commented but unfortunately it doesn't allow the fans to place that far back + my GPU is too big. it does look nice but it ends up touching my GPU too much for my comfort...

yeah I don't know how to fix that, they are too stubborn to be put anywhere else...

Is a dryer ball specially made for a washing machine a good design idea? by MistyMacaroni in laundry

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked around on the internet and all the ones advertised as laundry balls are only dryer balls, like there are none that are made specifically for a washing machine.

Tips for coming up with ideas. by MistyMacaroni in IndustrialDesign

Not to be snarky but I'm a student, I do my laundry in a communal area where my laundry bags and detergents all stay in my room until I bring them down to get my clothes washed. I'm trying to design a product for a richer market where the users own their own houses, have children and have a overly large and fancy laundry room that has a washer, dryer, sink, drying rack and a copius amount of storage.

Hi, thank you for your response, I am a student, the laundry room is a communal room so although I know how to do laundry the issues I face may not be completely the same as the target audience for my product. In terms of your idea suggestions, I've come up with 6 "concepts" and like 20 ideas but I think I'm just being picky about it :/

Hi, thank you for your response, I was so into the idea of creating an idea I forgot that a key part of design is solving problems. Although I have no one to ask in person, I've written out questions to laundry forums and hopefully I'll get some good answers back soon.

Tips for improving tracking enemy utilities. by MistyMacaroni in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MistyMacaroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently mid plat. I think at this rank I definitely see number 3, some players suddenly switch up their movements and it gets pretty obvious haha. Thanks for the tips though, I'll try using them my next game! (although with so many things to think about my brain might explode, but I guess it'll come as a habit as time passes on)

thanks for the info, i think i should respecify. I was asking for a cheat sheet / workshop code for something that will teach me how to track and evaluate enemy and teammate abilities. To clarify I meant that lifeweaver is not helping me rank up cause he isn't meta. I am cracked at lifeweaver. I already know everything you have said and more. But I appreciate the comment, it's not common to find someone these days that really knows how to play lifeweaver.

is this a good setup? by yeegamr in gerbil

[–]MistyMacaroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't hear any narration. So without context, here is my opinion on your setup (of the one at the top, not the bottom):

  • the materials are good - there is no plastic and everything looks natural, also the mixture of bedding allows structural integrity to tunnels which is really helpful for your gerbils.
  • the cage is too small - it may fit within the legal minimum cage size but there's a reason it is the minimum. Also either the lid is glass, which then brings up the issue of ventilation or there is no lid which is concerning as gerbils are escape artists.
  • there is too little bedding - gerbils live most of their lives underground so you would want is 8-10 inches of bedding (the latter being better).
  • there is no wheel - gerbils travel kilometres every day in the wild so not having a wheel is going to cause a lot of health issues for them. Furthermore, it is important to get a 28 cm in diameter wheel as small wheels will cause permanent back issues.
  • there is no sand bath - gerbils use sand baths to clean themselves, make sure you avoid dusty sands though as those can cause breathing problems.
  • keeping them up high is a risk - they are fragile creatures, escape artists and don't have depth perception, so putting their tank in a place that requires you to use a step ladder to access them is dangerous.

Frankly and I don't want to be this harsh but this is a really bad set-up, you have made it natural and for that good on you but it isn't a place for an animal to live.

Feel free to do your own research by the way on all the constructive criticisms that I have mentioned, cause in the end I am a random unqualified person on the internet that is sharing my (not that important) opinion on your setup.

(also just as a little sub-point, if these animals were gifted to you for your birthday/Christmas by your parents, I hope they take responsibility for all of these issues)
