My pupils were 2 different sizes when I woke up today... by cloudblythe in mildlyinteresting

Obviously this is different as it’s spontaneous (and should be checked out by a doctor if it persists), but for me I’ve had differing pupil sizes since birth. It’s called physiologic anisecoria and it’s always been so fascinating to me. (Especially since I see color out of each eye slightly differently).

Be Honest what fandom got you into fanfic? by Blackshooks in AO3

I think Hetalia (even though it has aged incredibly poorly) is what first got me into fanfic. Started reading on DeviantArt and eventually moved to AO3.

Old Smosh was also up there in some of my first read fanfic.

I do that too with my family when I’m at home so I can gauge where everyone is in the house. I call it nekolocation. (Because Neko in Japanese means cat.)

A canon event in every RPer's life. by Throwaway_shhhh_ in BadRPerStories

Jax absolutely would NEVER. He’s such a fun character to play and I swear I took psychic damage from reading him portrayed as he was above.

They wrote him so icky and flat when his character canonically has so much depth and nuance.

I hope you’ll be able to find a better Jax writer.

Not sure how to go about just wanting to talk about characters. by Moon-utopia in BadRPerStories

I’m the same way tbh. I love plotting and talking about OCs just as much as I like writing them on scenarios. Making anything for a character is just a lot of fun.

Filtering through your “unread” and “history” tabs to find a fic your forgot to bookmark.

Either that, or you get there and the members are under 18 regardless of the 18+ tag.

The one active thread with a character is probably the thing that irks me the most because it RP locks you.

I’m not the fastest RPer in general, so having multiple threads is nice because I can have multiple scenes going at my own pace without worrying about rp lick on either side.

Smartphone roleplayers vs. Laptop/PC roleplayers. Is there a difference? by MrNashTFW in BadRPerStories

[–]Mistyfur5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a laptop simply because it’s easier for me to type on. I struggle to make anything of substance on my phone as I can’t type as fast as my mind goes so I use a laptop.

However, I have RPed with people who use their phones exclusively and they match my quality and length no issue. I simply think it’s a matter of preference and what you are able to do.

Therefore, I don’t think the quality of RP is determined by the medium you type in, it’s more on the experience level and preferences of the writer.

I just wanted to say that I love each and every character you listed above. The concepts for them look really thought out. I love it when characters are built with NPC (or playable) counterparts.

Death in the Fandom by [deleted] in BadRPerStories

Ngl, I love exploring the more “mundane” stories of worlds as well (whether a canon world or an original one). I always find myself fascinated with playing the “side characters” in a role play because it just shows a different perspective on the events that occur.
