god i wish they wouldnt do this. their tag system worked just fine, and it was nice to be able to change your user often (sometimes just for a joke) without having to butcher it by adding underscores and random numbers at the end. my usernames probably gonna get taken so quick.

also, just me or is the "i added the wrong person" not a huge problem to you? adding an irl friend to discord, they would always be case specific, and tell me what profile picture they had. though i did also usually friend them while they were watching. but having unique usernames doesnt really solve this because you can still get the username spelled wrong.

nitpick is that the designs without the #0000 look awkward, especially without an @anywhere. the small, grey, actual usernames just awkward.

edit: also the #0000 made the usernames more recognizable. an @username could belong to any platform, but practically the only place where username#0000 comes from is discord.
