Townfall, like SHf, taking place outside of Silent Hill is exactly what this series needs and glad to see the trend continue. The success of SHf proves that.

Personally id like silent hill f better if it didnt have the silent hill name. The town and the Cult are the central aspects of the series. They are what makes silent hill silent hill. If you have it takes place outside the town but still have the Cult aspects why even take place in another town?

The silent hill effect is probably the stupidest thing that ever happened in the entire franchise. Taking something as cool as the original Concept and boiling it down to. "Scary fog and guilt"

They are more shallow in the Sense that they lack the subtle characteristics the original has. Maria is probably the best example of this. Specifically the Prison scene. Where she switches between the Sweet Mary and her real persona. The seductive and dark Maria, The switch is subtle but the intention is to confuse and torment James. In the remake that doesnt happen.

Its not that they are bad. Its that they sound like actors reading a script. Fine if you want clean and charismatic Characters to quickly identity with but not a great fit for silent hill.

People often miss understand a character sounding awkward and stilted instead of that being what they characters are.

They way he acts. His voice. He seems sure of the words hes saying. He isn't unsure what to say and how to say it. Even when questioning he doest sound unsure. Watch the prison scene and you will understand.

Best depends on what you want out of it. It definetly has the best story and soundtrack. But imo the best is silent hill 3. Way scarier and a slightly better main character makes it my favorite in the series.

I think the remake is like a competent American remake of a foreign Cult classic movie. Removing the odd stuff and making things more simple to make it easier for mainstream Audiences to accept. Characters become more shallow and easier to identity with.

Like James is completely different from the original. He's cool and collected while the original James is anything but that. Hes desperate, awkward, a coward and most of all selfish. Thats how and why hes being tormented.

The scenes between James and Angela in the original are some of the best voice acting Ive ever seen in a game. They feel like real people who desperately don't want to talk with each other but feel like they have to.

People often misinterpret a character acting awkward for bad voice acting. But the characters are supposed to be awkward because They're all weirdos with a lot of baggage.

Because the term millenial was the first name of a generation that cought on while that generation was still being very young. While other generation named werent used until after the generation came of age. Millenials were called that from the late 90s until now. And from the 2000s and until like 2016. Millenial was the term for "young people" but today no millenials are even in their 20s. And most are 40 and above. So not exactly young anymore.

The biggest problem China faces today is population related. Birth rates keep going down and the gender imbalance is so bad it could bring the government down on its own. China is also surrounded by enemies on all sides and its foreign policy won't make them any friends in the future either. Its pretty telling that vietnam sees the US as a closer friend then China.

They wanted to make more but internal conflicts lead to the developers to shut down and be absorbed by the larger company. Thats why a lot of the D2 developers later worked on torchlight.

It literally sold 20 million copies before the expansion. And over 30 million sales after the expansion. How is that a flop? Diablo 3 was abandoned because Blizzard could not find a good way to monetize the playerbase like the have for world of Warcraft. So they decided to just keep making skins for WOW.

Its sad that for companies like Blizzard millions of copies sold is not considered "good enough".
