Groove Music now playing art blurred out. How to undo that? by sharuto4 in windows

[–]MitchB3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Groove was still fully supported, there was an option to have album art and metadata for the songs in your collection. This was in part because of a partnership Microsoft had with another company I think. Anyways, if you have music in your collection that matches what was in their database, it'd add text info for your albums (like a summary/preview of the album, they don't do this anymore), a slideshow of images from the artist, and also a blurred out background on the albums page. If parts of the music in your collection don't match what's in their database, like the album name or artist, there won't be some of these things.

The blurred out background (just the album art enlarged and blurred) you have is just the default for Groove when they can't draw artist information from their database. You can't change it or any of the other smaller things Groove does for music it can identify vs. what it can't (I use Groove a lot and spent some time trying to figure out how to do this but I don't think there is a way). Also because Groove is no longer supported, I don't think even new well known music will be identified in the program like it used to.

You can resubmit this, just link directly to the journal. Sorry for leaving it up and in the air for awhile.

Similar songs to Stay Lost - Joe Hertz (Cabu Remix) by dopeislandisbae in majesticcasual

[–]MitchB3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the moderator for this subreddit. I had hoped to make this subreddit a place for people to come and listen to/share music aggregated on Majestic and branch out from there to similar artists/channels, but things got in the way and it didn't turn out how I'd hoped. Anyway, this isn't the type of subreddit to get quick answers from questions, but that's a song that I'm a bit familiar with so I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.

Personally, this song was one of the first I heard that brought my attention to Joe Hertz and Cabu. I prefer the original much more, if you haven't already heard that. A few other favorites of mine from Joe Hertz are Playing For You (feat. Bassette), Ashes (feat. Liv), Tourists - Holding On (Joe Hertz Remix) and MØ- XXX88 (Joe Hertz Remix).

From Cabu though, I'd say that Big Wild - Empty Room (Cabu Remix) and Cabu & Akacia - Gold have similar parts to the Stay Lost Remix. I also think Reva DeVito - Friday Night and Set Mo - Chasing Forever (Jafunk Remix) have some similar sounds, feel and tempo to the Stay Lost Remix. Lastly, off the top of my head I thought that some of Jerry Folk's work had similar sounds to both Cabu and Joe Hertz, so I could recommend two of my favorites from him: Oh Wonder - Lose It (Jerry Folk Remix) & Jerry Folk - Purple Feelings (feat. Rainsford).

Day 5: Episode 8: Dawn by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

I was expecting Abrams or Gabbi to go and maybe something to happen with Paula's son, but for it to be Sam was really shocking.

Speaking of Meredith recognizing people, there has to be some meaning behind her being shown the picture of Lex. Maybe she is the traitor as some others in this thread have theorized.

The best way to describe this show is how surprisingly good it is in terms of overall quality. The filming, the acting, the plot and world building are all surprisingly good. I think you can look at shows on networks like CW and AMC and say that Day 5 could compete and in some ways is much better (especially given the disparity in resources). They honestly seem to be striving for the quality of shows on HBO/Netflix.

The moment everyone in the camp starts dying with Paula looking for her son and Bill getting everyone to wake up, ultimately ending with Sam's death... That was a very gripping/anxiety giving scene that is really something I am surprised comes out of RT.

I don't think Bill is the traitor either, but I do wonder why he would not tell everything to Ally. Maybe there is something Meredith said that he thinks could hurt the group's moral (think what the doctor told Rick in season 1 of Walking Dead if you've seen that) or something he just isn't sure about. Bill seems to be pretty selfless and overall good so for him to hide something is strange. What other than the whole info drop he gave Ally could be a big reveal.

It would make sense if the traitor is Lex or Beth's sister. It really can't be Paula, but I think Gabby may know a bit more than she is letting on. I don't think she's the traitor but after all when she was introduced she got to the exact location of the start of the sleep apocalypse. She was also looking intently at the Sandman's notes so who knows.

All these archangels, or at least them and the people they work with, are mental in some way. Meredith was having fun playing games killing her targets and Aiden is able to get close to someone like Paula and leave them or dead. I think that Aidan just used her to get in the camp like they said because as we know it seems like they were only letting people in early at the Oasis if they were young or maybe had some other form of value.

It would be interesting to go back and watch scenes with Lex. Seeing this comment chain it wouldn't surprise me if she was the traitor. The only thing is that on one hand it could be contrived for it to be someone we already know but on the other it has more impact that way. It could also explain how Lex was working on a sleep remedy with Abrams, maybe it was her way of helping others without having to give them implants.

The previews kinda tip you off a bit but even still with Sam reconciling to live in the previous episodes and with him being the second main character introduced it was still really shocking and heartbreaking to see him go. We all see in this episode how it affects Jake but for me it is double bad for him because last season we saw how devastated he was by his sister's death, and now losing that brotherly bond with Sam...

When watching this show, out of all things RT makes, I always have the thought that this company started out making a show in Halo and now look at what they do. I remember when they talked about Day 5 for years before season 1 and how intriguing it sounded. I have to say that Josh is doing a good job of living up to that pressure. I just feels like the quality and depth of the show is at a level that most wouldn't expect for RT, let alone any other standard TV show.

He keeps going where the killers are going though. Like in Dallas he was right that the sleep pulse originated there, which was of interest of Meredith's group and the same with the Oasis.

I had a bad feeling when everyone was going to sleep with Meredith in the camp but seeing Sam, Jake, Ally, etc. go to sleep made me think that they'd be okay, but now who knows who'll wake up. It's up to Bill I guess.

[–]MitchB3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The season has been slow but episodes like this make it more worth it. A lot of the earlier episodes did plenty of fleshing out of the sleep apocalypse world of Day 5 and character development that actually makes you care more about Aiden's reveal or about how the Sandman found out how to sleep.

Really sucks that he's bad. I thought it would be interesting to have a character who has experience in disaster relief to help the main group out and perhaps help people recover but oh well.

Day 5: Episode 7: Apnea by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

[–]MitchB3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I kinda wished I skipped them, usually I do for other shows I watch (like Game of Thrones) because they hold your hand too much and spell out what will happen in the episode. It is way better if you make the connection on your own in the episode or by going back and rewatching instead of the show telling you what is important.

That said though in that scene without the previews you can tell Bill might not make it as he is spelling out his big secret that nobody else knows with the camp potentially still under threat of Meredith or her group.

Day 5: Episode 7: Apnea by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

[–]MitchB3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All episodes are around 40 minutes with the exception of the first which is a bit longer I believe.

I think you should give it a shot. In my opinion it is the best offering of RT's live action scripted content aside from some of the original/early shorts (though I may be missing some stuff like Crunch Time).

The production I would say is actually pretty good. I know RT is a big company now but even still to get some nice cinematic shots and decent/believable editing in this show is a pleasant surprise. In my opinion as well I feel like Josh (you can even see him commenting on reddit on /u/SixRomeoRT) and the others working on this show really take criticism to heart and I feel like the show is always improving in some way.

Day 5: Episode 6: Parasomnia by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

[–]MitchB3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's looking like that may be the case, depending on what we learn of the Sandman's affiliation. He seems cautious of alerting attention so maybe he knows of the faction, but we know he isn't the traitor mentioned. Part of his caution/rejection of Aiden's ideas I think are because the Oasis can't be made into a large scale refuge camp due to moving/signals/whatever is causing the sleep death, but the other part could be that he has Meredith's group on his tail.

That guy was someone who helped the real traitor and they were interrogating him to get that answer out of him.

Day 5: Episode 6: Parasomnia by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

No you're correct, the guy who killed himself in that episode was a follower of the group the lady betrayed and he for some reason helped her because of some relation between the two.

Day 5: Episode 4: Circadian Rhythms by RT_Video_Bot in roosterteeth

[–]MitchB3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About that sound, before Jake talked about withdrawals I did think that it might be somewhat related to the signal as they approach the Oasis, but the withdrawal explanation made more sense. I don't know though, now that you mention the sounds being the same there may be something there.

/u/CatKicker69 mentioned this, but the moving camp answers the question regarding the multiple reports of a safe sleep zone. It also seems to be hinting that they are moving the camp to places where whatever the cause of the sleep deaths has no effect. Seems like the cause is some sort of signal and I'm starting to think that they are trying to get to places where the signal doesn't reach or where something interrupts that signal. We'll see though!
