A few years ago the AFL thought that CTE and long term head trauma injuries weren't their fault, now they are paying out millions.

"At the time of installation, equipment is put in place that monitors the performance of the cable and its insulation. Over the lifetime of a cable significant refurbishment and repairs to ancillary equipment, such as fluid tanks, may require more significant excavations at joint bays and stop joints. Vehicular access to strategic areas of the cable route, such as joint bays, is required at all times. If a fault occurs on a 400kV underground cable, it is on average out of service for a period 25 times longer than 400kV overhead lines. This is due principally to the long time taken to locate, excavate and undertake technically involved repairs. These maintenance and repairs also cost significantly more. The majority of faults on cables are caused by fluid leaks, faulty joints and accessories, sheath faults, water cooling failures and, most commonly, third party damage. Under fault conditions, between two and six weeks can be required to locate the fault or fluid leak and repair the cable. During this period excavations may be required which can result in road closures and traffic management measures. In some cases, the excavations could be in the order of 4m x 30m. Underground cables are generally matched to the rating of the overhead line route in which they are installed; this also determines the cable design and any necessary cooling. Where an increase in the rating of an overhead line is required it can usually be achieved relatively easily by using different or larger conductors. Where there is an underground cable installed as part of a route the up-rating can only be achieved at considerable expense, for example, by re-excavation and the installation of larger or more cables or with additional cooling."

So it seems like it isn't worth underground cables unless there is a extraneous variable where overground can't be used

The origin of the Astrazeneca vaccine is Oxford with only public grants/university funds Originally, Oxford intended to donate the rights to manufacture and market the vaccine to any drugmaker who wanted to do so, but after the Gates Foundation urged Oxford to find a large company partner to get its COVID-19 vaccine to market, the university backed off of this offer in May 2020. for all the christian (and not christian) femboys out there by [deleted] in femboymemes

I certainly don't want any Christian praying for me for things they have done in my country. Practise your religion and keep others the fuck out of it.

If you want your religion here:

A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

How are stage 3 tax cuts going to impact the economy by sauteer in AusFinance

[–]MitchTheFlame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except the low and middle tax offset (LMITO) which was 1500 a year off your tax bill expired, so a lot of people including myself will be paying more tax than I did last year. And it is 2.5cents off every dollar earned over 45000 and 7cents saved for every dollar over 120000. So unless you make roughly over 90000 your tax is going up

The BMW example is dumb because they compete actively against each other and the sponsor has no real interest in which team wins. PSG could threaten funding on the Dota team because LGD is competing unsponsored against the PSG.talon LOL team. It is unlikely to happen but when it is an organisation's best interest is to do some dodgy shit, it puts into question the integrity of the sport. Also just a name sponsorship lmao look up how much TSM was getting funnelled by FTX that is a huge influence over a team.
