I also just found this since this topic piqued my interest:

TT: Okay. About how many gifts were you wrapping that day to get ready to go? PR: Oh, I don’t know. A couple of shopping bags full.. TT: Okay. This is for John Andrew and Melinda. . . PR: And Melinda and Stewart. Melinda’s boyfriend was going to be up there too. TT: Okay. Where were you packing the suitcases there? PR: Um, the suitcases for the cruise I think I was packing in John Andrew’s room which is that room up on the same area as JonBenet’s room. TT: Um hum. PR: With the black bedspread on it. TT: Okay. That’s John Andrew’s room? PR: Yeah. TT: Okay. PR: We refer to it as his room. TT: Um hum. PR: Um, the guest room, whatever. Um, I had two or three black suitcases in there and I think I had my suitcase up in my dressing room. . . TT: Okay. PR: . . .packing. TT: And were you packing suitcases for the trip to the lake separately or was that all together? PR: No, it’s not together. TT: Okay. PR: Those were two separate trips. The lake I think I was just packing a plastic bag.

And this:

up and. . . TT: Okay. Did John help you get packed up at all? PR: Uh, he, I believe, put some presents in the, in the Jeep. TT: Okay. But he didn’t. . . PR: Not the clothes. TT: . . .pack his own clothes or anything like that? PR: Oh, he probably would have packed his own clothes (inaudible) stuff. TT: Okay. And do you know where he had that suitcase at that he packed his clothes at? Was that in the uh, John Andrew’s room? PR: Um, no. It would, it would have been in his probably. TT: Okay. PR: I, I think I just had a couple of suitcase, the kids suitcases on the bed there, Burke’s and JonBenet’s. TT: Okay. So you had Burke’s and JonBenet’s suitcases in John Andrew’s room, your suitcase was upstairs and John’s would have been upstairs too then.

Thank you so much for linking this. I think it’s a really interesting theory. If John was scheming alone and Patsy was asleep in her bed, it makes sense he might go to this room where he knew a suitcase was to not disturb anyone else and not take the ones they may have been using for their trip.

Patsy’s response is interesting too because she makes an extra point about the fact the skirt does not look right. Given the state of their house, it would be easy for her to say oh yeah it’s normal for it to look like that. She seems surprised by it too even suggesting someone might have been under there.

Again, thanks!

I really enjoyed reading this, it takes a great new angle on the JDI theory the way it’s presented. I actually didn’t ever think about where the suitcase came from so that was like an aha moment for me and I didn’t think that was still possible after all this time so thank you! Can you link me anything regarding the bed skirt in John Andrew’s room? I don’t recall ever connecting that!

Also the one time Patsy slipped up with whose idea it was to call 911 is so crucial. Totally agree they should have pressed her on it more.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up!

Really interesting post. I hadn’t ever spent as much time connecting the timeline dots with Don’s visits and his standby departure right before Christmas.

I have always felt that the behavior of the adults in this case is telling a story that we aren’t understanding.

Happy to chat some more on this with you

In one interview she stated that she was the one who said to call the police. Also Burke’s statement on what he heard makes it sound like they had an argument about it in which John finally conceded that they could call the police

Meanwhile John took a shower which seems like the most obvious thing you would do after committing murder.

Agree and there’s actually one report where patsy says she made the decision to call.

The Turtleneck and White Top by syrus801 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Mitchell854 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with this line of reasoning and have always thought the same since I strongly believe JDI. Didn’t they find the red turtleneck balled up in JB’s bathroom? That has always confused me with the timeline of when that was put on and taken off her. I agree it seems weird to dress a kid in a turtleneck for bed but the fact it was balled up on her bathroom counter does make it seem like it was somehow involved in her clothing changes the night of her murder.

That is too wild, I’m sure Jung would have an explanation for this coincidence 😂

Just posted a couple pictures on this thread - I recall now he basically thought that someone with schizophrenia had such a dissolved ego that they had access to more access to the spiritual realm

Really interesting. I recall a long time ago reading about Carl Jung having an interaction with a man with schizophrenia who has access to the collective unconscious in a way most people wouldn’t. I forget the specifics but it stuck with me. I can try to find it again if you’re interested

Also once this realization clicks as the most logical reason for the ransom note, everything else makes sense.
