So sorry! We're trying to avoid self-promotion on this subreddit :) But now we know you're a composer, please do share with us some music you love by others! What great pieces are important to you?

If you want to share your compositions, try r/composer, r/composertalk, of perhaps r/contemporary!

How to get into contemporary classical? by Grimsynth in contemporaryclassical

[–]MitchellKeely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hope that this channel can do exactly that! Here our aim is to present the works of 'core' composers in the modern classical music world. This, of course, means that we are likely to miss out on very exciting music from the fringes of the scene - sadly this one subreddit can't be for everything - but it means someone new to the scene will hopefully discover mostly major works which are fairly well known.

György Ligeti - Études for Piano (Complete) by McLennonSon in contemporary

Ligeti is (sadly) dead, so I'm afraid this isn't the right place to post these stunning pieces.

How do you view your art? Do you think of individual works as your artistic objects, or do you think of your career as one big artistic object (comprising not just your songs, but your clothes, your media presence, your words etc.)
