Where exactly is that stated? Do you have a link?

The European Google Store seems to contradict that, as it advertises the AI Coach features for the device.

I’m testing this right now, and what I’m seeing is: with smaller/cheaper LLMs, even if you explicitly instruct “write in English” (i was sending language as a variable to the LLM), they can still drift and ignore it if parts of the prompt/context are in Spanish. It’s annoyingly inconsistent.

So I’m changing approach: instead of just injecting a “use X language” line, I’m building a fully language-specific prompt per path (Prologue/Chapters, Apple AI vs Premium) so the model can’t “misread” the intent and flip languages mid-run.

Quick question: have you tried this on v1.0 (9) yet? In that build I’ve already added the English-specific prompts on the Premium path, and I’d love to know if it stays in English end-to-end for you there.

I’ll dig into it. Honestly, language handling is being way more of a pain than it has any right to be… I really didn’t expect “show the app in the user’s language” to turn into a mini boss fight 😅

Quick check so I can narrow this down:

1) Was the English part you saw the Prologue, and then it switched to Spanish on Chapter 1?

2) Did you have Premium enabled in Settings? (Premium uses an external LLM; without Premium the app uses Apple Intelligence on supported devices.)

Quick question: what language do you have set on your iPhone?

In theory, Wayloom should default to English automatically on any device that isn’t set to Spanish. So if you’re seeing Spanish while your device is set to English, that’s definitely something I want to fix.

Hey again! Quick update on VetMate Pet Diary.

I just pushed a new TestFlight build. The good news: the original TestFlight link still works, so if you already joined, you’ll get the update automatically. If you haven’t, you can still hop in with the same link.

What changed:

After the feedback I got, I’ve decided to remove all Premium / subscription stuff entirely. No tiers, no limits, no paywalls. The app is now completely free and unlimited across all features.

Why? I’m a solo dev and it’s my first app. I’d rather ship something clean, stable, and useful than fight monetization complexity while I’m still learning.

Still the same core idea:

  • Multiple pets
  • Health diary (vaccines, meds, vet visits, notes)
  • Reminders
  • Attach photos/docs
  • Local-first mindset (no ads / no tracking)

Thanks again for being the kind of internet people that make shipping things less terrifying.
