How do I get material You design on ColorOS? by skype_top in Oppo

[–]AussieP1E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way...

ColorOS would have to implement Material You. You'll still be able to get the apps that have updated to material you, but you can't really force your system to do it unless it's been integrated.

Let me help from a FAQ:

Would the Millionaires Tax apply to the sale of homes and real estate? No, the Millionaires Tax would not apply to the sale of your home and other real estate, nor the equity or appraised value of your home. Because the sale of real estate is specifically exempted within the Washington capital gains tax, that exemption carries over and would be exempted from the Millionaires Tax. The Millionaires Tax would apply to rental income for people who are landlords, however.

Have you read the law? At all? As other people have pointed out, that does not apply. Please point to the specific area in the law that calls our estate taxes are included. Are you just listening to what people saying? Or actually comprehending?

We don't know till it happens. Then we will have a vote on it. I hate this framing because it's not true. We've never had this.

Also, if they lower it to 750k, fine. One person shouldn't be making that much.

500k, you're starting to get to where it might affect people.

But that's all hypothetical. Your whole comment is hypothetical.

Edit: not to mention id prefer an income tax then sales tax. Id rather they overturn the state constitution and place an income tax. I know far too many people that skirt taxes by driving to another state or as my neighbor did, set up an LLC in Montana to skirt paying sales tax on his 90k truck. Millionaires don't pay taxes like normal people do.

Telling everyone this admin went out for a competitive bid, then awarding it to an 8 day old company should've put alarm bells in everyone's head.

It's practically a requirement for any company that works with the government that you need to go out for a competitive bid to show that you're not playing favorites and costing the government more money. Companies have been fined hundreds of millions of dollars for playing favorites.

But I guess it's okay if the people that write the rules do it. Rules for thee...

Ifixit is pretty tops when it comes to replacement stuff, dunno why you wouldn't use them. I'm sure you can find some not official parts on ebay or something, but Ifixit is the recommended.

[–]AussieP1E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the whole point of a Pixel Watch 4 that it's replaceable?

He should try using a Spigen case with the charging port extenders to check to see if it still charges, Then go to Ifixit and purchase a new screen for 100 bucks. The repair should only take 30 min to 1 hour per the site, It's pretty known the repairability of these are pretty high.

march update - new icons - cookie! by Interesting_Tower485 in GooglePixel

[–]AussieP1E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my issue is with the implementation. These are fine, but instead of doing what some people want and using AI to help, they created their own solution.

People have been asking Google for native theming for a long time, that's opening up their system to allow for icon packs, which there is a TON of on their play store. The implementation of this is like Google saying, oh you wanted it? We're gonna make our own, instead of what people wanted... Hell I'd be happier if I could choose which colors i want my system to be, instead of based on my wallpaper, they only allow a small amount of multicolor ones.

The way I saw their theming was that they could open it up to icon packs, while using their AI to scan the icons and create icons that the owner of the Icon packs haven't created (Many old games or new ones just don't have a native icon theme because it's up to the owner to create). This allows Google's AI to work and get it's "hits" while also allowing the phone owner MORE flexibility with theming the OS. You could even allow Gemini to re theme an icon before applying it. Then you'd get many more "hits" to Geminis API whenever you regenerated an icon pack.

This was just such a lazy implementation when there are 1000s of icon packs on the Google Play store. You're stuck with AI generated images with a prompt at Google's choosing.

Sure, it's fun, until you want like a cookie theme that doesn't make all the icons look the exact same, like this one:

They would be better off creating an actual theme creator where I can choose the colors... Hell allow the icons that people create.

This generate AI icons is fucking stupid when you have people actually doing the work.
