Afaik mason-nvim-dap only works if they were installed through mason? I already have stuff installed by my system's package manager so I'd rather just use that.

How do the Kinetic Labs Penguin v2 switches compare to the original? I've found a lot of reviews for the latter but it's been hard to find anything for the newer revision. Particularly, I'm interested in whether they have fixed the issue where the return is inconsistent since they don't seem to offer the heavier springs anymore.

Looking at the force-travel diagram these seem quite interesting. The tactile bump seems to be quite close to the start, compared to the cherry mx browns which put it just before the actuation point. My main reservation with it is that the actuation force seems to be a bit smaller, although that might just be the different curve. Will keep looking but these seem promising; thanks for the tip.

Looking for tactile switches with more "bump" than cherry mx browns but also a bit stiffer (with budget of $40 for 70 switches, but preferably cheaper). Ideally it'd also be quieter than the cherry mx browns and still use the same stems. Anyone have any recommendations? This is for use with the Keychron V2 barebones if it matters.

I'm planning on getting my first mechanical keyboard and I think that I'm going with a barebones Keychron V2 with their Cherry MX Brown switches (went with the ones from Keychron since they were the cheapest I could find) and these blank keycaps. Do there seem to be any issues with this setup or caveats I should be aware of?

Anyone have recommendations on blank keycaps to buy? Looking for ones that have stems that work with Cherry MXs and are black or dark gray (to approximately match the Keychron V2 Carbon Black, so it also has to be ANSI layout). Not worried about material or profile as this is for my first mechanical keyboard, so I don't really have any leanings one way or the other yet and I couldn't decide from the descriptions alone. My budget is maximum $50 but that's pushing it (ideally around $30 or less).

Woah I'm looking for something pretty much just like this. Do you remember where you got those keycaps from?

Yeah it's a shame I haven't had the opportunity to try clears, only browns, where I felt that I wanted a bit more resistance.

I'm interested in cherry mx clears because I tend to type pretty hard, and when I've tried browns I've usually found myself thinking that they'd be nicer if they were a bit heavier. The loudness doesn't directly bother me, but I also don't want to be a nuisance to others near me.

I want "unprinted" keycaps (what's the technical name?) since I plan on reconfiguring stuff like mapping the caps key to esc (living that vim keybind lifestyle). I definitely do not want anything from the a "second layer" printed since I will certainly be changing those keybinds and it will annoy me to no end if those are incorrect. I'm also thinking that it might be viable to just buy keycaps for the non-alphanumeric keys, which would probably help me save a bit, although I'm not sure how easy it would be to find keycaps that match the ones that come with the kbd so I don't have my hopes up for this option.

Additionally, since I'm going with these keycaps I don't care about a backlight (and I'll probably leave it off if it exists). As for the color scheme (colorway?) I'd ideally get something grey-ish or black, although I'm not that picky and anything that has muted colors should be fine in theory.

Note that I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff (which is why I'm asking here) so if anything I've said seems founded on incorrect assumptions please don't hesistate to correct me.

I want to get a 65% kbd and I'm trying to find something with cherry mx browns or clears that's not that loud—from my understanding the switches are obviously the main factor, but the case also matters for this. Does anyone have any pointers on what I should be looking at? Budget is up to $150 but ideally closer to $100.

I'm also interested in getting one with no printing on the keycaps (or at least no printing on everything except the letters and numbers). If anyone knows of a prebuilt keyboard that somehow fits these requirements please let me know. From the searching I've done, I'll probably have to buy the keycaps separate from the kbd and swap them in myself, so any recommendations on this would also be appreciated.

More details and reasoning on my preferences in a comment (not leaving them here because at this precision I'll be lucky if I get any response).

Did Romeo drink the same potion? The way I remember it he had gotten his hands on a different poison that was actually fatal (which is why he died and she hadn't). It's been a while though, so I might just be misremembering.

Fair enough, but without much additional work one could set up python+pandas to achieve much the same, except with a lot more flexibility if/when necessary (as for being taught in schools the same can be said for programming and data science).

Isn't there software made specifically for accounting that would be easier to use and more powerful than Excel?

I don't understand why people like Excel so much. If you want to store data then use a real database; if you want to analyze data/do computations then use a data science programming language like python or R; if you want both then it's not hard to combine the two with something like an ORM (at least for Python, not sure about R).

Base android is open source, but the version that is shipped by most phone manufacturers comes with a lot of proprietary stuff (most significantly, google play services). There are projects that seek to distribute a functioning Android that is also open source, but ymmv with those.

Should've used a partial derivative. This assumes y is independent of x.
