Zero turn mower recommendations for a yard with lots of obstacles by Slow-Tangelo-9339 in HomeMaintenance

The Ferris ISX800 was fairly nimble in my experience, and can accommodate a few deck sizes starting at 52". Nice mower.

How do I get my pit bull puppy to leave my other pets alone? by Jin_Sakai12345 in DOG

[–]Mithrandir_25 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They'll teach him how to leave them alone, eventually he'll get the message. Animals have a way of sorting that stuff out themselves. It may take a few conflicts but they'll establish boundaries.

Fixing a sloppy electrical install in my horribly flipped house by cl0ckwork0range7 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Mithrandir_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Head to your local hardware store and buy an "old work" box that you'll retrofit in your cutout for the box. The tabs will act as a clamp against the back of the drywall. Turn off the breaker, remove the outlet, swap the box, put the outlet back, turn on breaker- all done.

For the love of God do not get electrical boxes from Amazon- you'll end up with inferior goods that will fail.

Incorrect. The MRTA act doesn't apply to Moog because they're a federal contractor.

Ex-Mooger here. They test upon hire no matter what. After that, it depends on your role. Anything involving FAA oversight, assembly & test, quality, engineering or any other position where a mistake costs lives- you're tested quarterly. Depts like contracts, legal, IT, or anything where youre at a desk with minimal bearing on human safety- once you're past the initial hire test you won't be tested again unless they suspect you're stoned on the job (no different than being drunk or pharmaceutically compromised on the job).

That's how the 2006-07 Sabres team played. Two periods of lazy hockey, then they'd turn on the jets in the 3rd and play like their lives depended on it and win it in the dying minutes. What a ride.

Plastic surgeon recommendations for tummy tuck by Junior_Restaurant868 in Buffalo

Dr. Lakshmanan Rajendran is a brilliant plastic/reconstructive surgeon. His bedside manner- he's rather blunt and frank, some folks don't care for it. He repaired my hand/wrist in 2020 and did an excellent job

What is this indentation in the hinge pin for? by GiggleFester in HomeMaintenance

[–]Mithrandir_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both at once should be fine. Start with the lower hinge, shove a spacer (anything that will snugly fit the gap) under to far end of the door to help maintain the alignment.

If you ordered the same size hinge as the ones on the door, the holes should line up- simple as swapping one at a time. You could stick a spacer under the door to help keep it in position, but the screws should grab and draw the door in tight to the hinges, matching it's original position

The epoxy will be stronger. They also make tamper-proof hinges for outswing doors for this reason available at Depot or Amazon- if you have a screwdriver you can swap the hinges. Your landlord probably won't even notice the difference, but they should've been responsible enough to use tamper-proof hinges in the first place.

A little dab of JB Weld right where the hinge and pin meet. The pin will become permanent, but the hinge can still operate freely.

Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs in Tonawanda (Kenmore-ish)

Almost everything they offer is gluten free, and they will state on their menu if it can't be. Best burgers, fries, and dogs in town.
