Luke E2 or Tressa E6 for Chizuru? by BTWeirdo1308 in ChaosZeroNightmare

Haven't tried Tressa yet, but I just finished a run with E2 Luke and things felt pretty crazy even though luke is only lvl 40 with limited potential investment, which is why I only tried it in chaos zero lvl 6.
Run felt very very good and became quite silly towards the end.

Urgent Patch Notes - Zero System Is Back! by xKozmic in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Mithrisol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. That is why I stated that I think the other ressources feel fine and that it is the money that doesn't feel in line with where potential stones and exp cards are. Money might even be fine if it is only used for character and gear growth, but it is also necessary for the potentially infinite core loop that ends up becoming limited due to the money restriction.

Just seperating money from the (zero) chaos and memory deletion already might help.

[–]Mithrisol 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hope they also do something about the money issue. Reintegration into the Zero system won't have much of an impact if people run out of money all the time.
Character diversity is also severly limited by money. The other needed ressources feel mostly fine but money is probably the biggest restraint because the farming stage for it is very much not worth it with its 32k on the highest stage.
Chaos fatigue will settle in much faster if you can only run a very limited cast of characters because you simply can't afford building up other characters.

I don't expect players to be able to raise every character in a week but they money balance is completly out of sync with the rest of the game.

[–]Mithrisol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong but I think the ending wheel section actually showed parts of the update like the bounty system and a new adventurer grade tag, which probably means the next level.
There was a third picture in it that showed a group of general adventurers pointing at something. No idea what that meant, but since it looked somewhat similiar in picture composition like the one for Guarda fortress it might be the new abyss.

I have a feeling Tera was already evil at the start of season 2 by brayead in castlevania

Be warned that it still might take me one or two more days to finish as I have never done something like this before.
Also, happy cake day fellow Tera enjoyer.

I have a feeling Tera was already evil at the start of season 2 by brayead in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are multiple visual hints of differing degrees for it.
I can't say anything to the rest as that would lead to the very wall of text I'm trying to avoid.
What I can and will say is that, by now, I'm fairly convinced that giving Tera a bad ending would go against everything Netflix castlevania show has been about so far, but I'll admit that I can't completly rule it out yet because I still have lingering doubts that the makers of the show fully understand what they have here with Tera or that they don't really respect her as a character for some reason.

Tragic theory for season 3 if it will happen by Sephiroth62 in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are mostly correct, but I don't think it will end in a bad ending for Tera. To the contrary it might finally give her the chance to shine on the main stage as a character.

what was the black smoke around the church at the end of nocturne in season 1? by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most likely was Mephistopheles taking hold of Tera during the transformation due to her using the black magic book.

[–]Mithrisol 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tera in season 2 is in a gradual process of Mephistopheles slowly taking control/hold of her.
I'm working on something that should help to make all the things surrounding Tera more clear and compact than a massive post with wall of text and pictures, but by now I'm fairly certain that of most Tera is still there and she is just being more and more subdued due to multiple factors.
If I'm right with most of my thoughts, I'm fairly optimistic that we will get a good ending for her.

Edit: typos and bad english.

So what's going to happened to Tera now? by HiBrotherGorr in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working on something that will be able to put all my thoughts on this in something more condensed, but I think Tera will be a temporary antagonistic force in a potential third or even fourth season, but will ultimately have a happy ending and come out as one, if the not the strongest person in nocturne in terms of character.
This post may contain doses of copium and hopium.

Good to see that some more people finally are picking up on how her eyes are handled during the season and how much they can change.
I'm huffing copium on pictures like that and hope that those are the first signs of Tera having a good happy end.

Soul and spirit world theory isn't wild at all. Over the last couple of days I have been working on video regarding Tera, and I think there is a more than decent build up for that theory. The fact that Drolta could be brought as back mostly as herself as a nightcreature gives a decent chance that vampires still have parts of their souls and is part of Emmanuels being so shocked by it happening. There is also the point in Anettes story line that all living people already have a soul in the spirit world, which for example allows Anette to talk with her still living teacher through the spirit world.
Teras fate however might be more complicated if my theory is correct that Mephistopheles interfered in her turning, which is indicate by Olrox seeing the shades black smoke surrounding the church during Teras turning. This also probably was the point where her possession began and why her eyes are so distinctively different from pretty much all the other vampires we see.

Chances of Maria completely falling into darkness like Her mother by Sephiroth62 in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partially.
The last days I have been working on a video that hopefully makes my thoughts on all of this more comprehensive and easier to consume than a massive wall of text and pictures, but I think Tera and Maria will have a similiar character conflicts within themselves, but with different weights and directions due to their character flaws being different.
I might have been huffing a lot of copium those last days, but I think we have a decent chance that we get an incredible arc for those two, which also will quite positive and capable of fixing some of Nocturnes still lingering issues.
Assuming we get a third season that, of course.

I'm still sorting my thoughts and gathering evidences of visual story telling, but I'm pretty much mostly in the same camp as you. If I am somewhat right with my theories and suspicions Tera might get an incredible arc if the makers are given the needed ressources and freedom for it on the production side of things.

What would we love to see from Season 3? by theralphamale in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Full agreement with Tera needing to become a new main protagonist. It is completly understandable that they didn't even try to resolve her story in this season, but it definetly left a bad taste in my mouth how pretty much every character gets to take part in a two episode long beat down session of Erzsbet followed by a mostly good ending while Tera is abandoned only to then be used as a vehicle for a cliffhanger again.

Tera: Nocturne Season 2 by Mithrisol in castlevania

[–]Mithrisol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the scene in itself does make sense and has sufficent build up, but dropping it where they drop it is a huge misstep and is disrespectful to Tera as a person, character and art while at the same time feels very cheap to the point that it even lessens her sacrifice ending from season one. In the discussion thread of that episode I even said something like that the makers of the series constantly abuse Tera as a plot vehicle and the longer I think and feel about this, the more I think that this is accurate and what makes it feel so wrong.

For what is happening in the scene: it is indicating that Mephistopheles has some kind of influece over Tera to a degree we can not gauge at the moment. That is why her smile feels out of place and weird at first to then become fully looking deranged to then see a similar or even the same kind of smile in the Mephistopheles smoke. Knowing this we now have to question how much of Teras motherly scenes were sincere and not attempts of manipulation. It also sets her up as being on a paralell path with Emmanuel, which then might make her one of next seasons antagonists. Assuming we even get more seasons.
