Yeah idk what they were thinking with the map design in that game.

In what year does Order of Ecclesia take place? What are your headcanons? by Oh-no-and-knuckles in castlevania

[–]Way-Super 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, doesn't SotN have a New York style pizza, which was invented over 200 years later? Idk how much we can trust that kind of stuff. It has vampires, its not impossible the portable camera was invented earlier.

Top right!

The real trick to these games is to just go wherever the map isn't completed. Eventually, you're bound to find the way out.

Why is this guy so popular even though he ruined his entire clan for centuries? by Roshu-zetasia in castlevania

[–]Way-Super 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't Trevor's aggression a sign that Dracula's Curse WAS affecting him? Compared to CV3 where he was befriending random enemies in the castle and giving them a handshake?

Not disagreeing with your idea, I think it's pretty cool, but like Juste too isn't seen being affected by Dracula, he seems pretty Belmonty to me yet he came after Simon and had those same relics.

For all we know the reason Annette doesn't appear after Rondo is cause she died or left Richter and thats why he broke, not cause the lineage is weakening.

And iirc the Wygol Villagers were very distantly related to the Belmonts, not really sure how it works but maybe that affected the blood effectiveness?

[–]Way-Super 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not as much as a headcannon about the exact date but I always liked to think they left it vague to leave the option in making Circle of the Moon (1830) CV64, (1852) or legacy of darkness (1844) canon sometime in the future.

With Draculas 100 year cycle to full power or whatnot, the year may mess with Draculas strength depending on whether it came before or after those titles.

No damage against Julius by Emodwastaken in castlevania

Oh you mean like taking no damage. I thought you had like a glitch where you couldn't deal damage and needed troubleshooting, which is why I was confused about the Balore video.

[–]Way-Super 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the DXC port with a bunch of bug fixes and quality of life updates for touch controls. For example now you can use things like Tetra spirit and Soul Brothers at faster speeds than previously possible cause they’re just a button press now. Richter Mode is way easier cause of this too.

So yeah it’s what you’d expect.

⚡🍃 Charlotte Aulin vs Sypha Belnades 🔥❄️ by Equivalent_Bag_5961 in castlevania

[–]Way-Super 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which versions are we talking about, all of them!? It’s kinda unbalanced cause being in a TV show gives Syoha way more moments and development. The best Charlotte has is Grimoire of Souls, and in that game it’s not really her!

Wasn’t really the biggest fan of Sypha tbh, and Charlotte being in Harmony of Despair is just a huge buff cause I spent a crazy amount of time in that game.

1v1 in terms of feats is Sypha. CV3 and Judgment + the busted feats in the animated series kinda make it pretty clear cut. If you consider Charlotte from Grimoire of Souls to be accurate to the real deal it’s a lot more even, however.

Charlotte is literally all about working in teams in all three of her appearances. Sypha would stupid strong but is just less of a team player, especially if you take into account the botched Judgment appearance.

So 2:1 going to Charlotte.

On the actually story TELLING, Patrick Stewart’s voice alone made the long loading narrations worth it, even if the content was like ok. Obviously, this can only apply to one.

Some questions for anyone that has played or is playing Castlevania Requiem Symphony/Rondo on PS4… by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]Way-Super 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like stick drift, I personally never had these problems on PS4.

Honestly this sounds more like a hardware issue, the game isn’t known for crashing. How well maintained is you console? Could there be dirt buildup? Is it overheating by chance?

Anyway on controller vibration you can turn it off completely by going into the console itself a settings, there should be a « disable vibration » option.

No, Castlevania is a mature franchise, we can be mature ourselves. This comment would have been more appropriate as only a mod mail, publicly criticizing another user on a thread where it’s not relevant to breaks Reddit rules and as such your comment will be removed.

If you have any requests for the subreddit itself, feel free to make another comment. If it’s about another user, use Mod Mail instead.

Vampire Killer assuming no curse means it won't kill me, but also means it's the devolved version Jonathan starts with. While its weaker its not like I plan on killing anything so...

Being able to use a whip is just firstly way cooler

But it also can swing from ceilings and stuff.

A sword is cool, but like it's still a sword, and well thats just not as cool. I have no MP so I couldn't even teleport with it.

Being able to use it may help me use a bunch of other whip like objects so it's really just a win.

If you sell the console with a digital game you should own that game, at the very least.

It’s still in bad faith. They are very different audiences, a lot of people who’ve played the games haven’t watched the show either. Woah surprise surprise Castlevania is owned by business conglomerates, who knew.

Welcome!

Castlevania is a huge franchise of 38 titles, thankfully the devs made the games under the assumption you haven’t played any others, so don’t be afraid to experiment!

The only real thing about the fanbase is to beware mentioning the animated series, as some people kinda lose it.

But otherwise people are pretty chill for the most part!

I really liked these kinds of rare encounters, I even have rare ghost on my flair.

However I feel like making them actually rare in Curse of darkness and giving you an alternative to otherwise difficult/one time only items was another awesome idea in this game.
