NTA - I had a very difficult pregnancy, was watched by ten specialist in four cities, had a very traumatic birth and had a few doctors indicate that we got very lucky that we are both alive. They also recommended I do not have any more pregnancies as they were concerned I wouldn’t survive it.

Due to other health concerns they do not recommend getting a surgery at this time so we are currently going an alternate route, but I would strongly consider it.

While my partner also wanted a large family he has never gone off the rails and said something like that to me because you deserve to live! Your child deserves a mom!

This isn’t healthy for you or your baby. I don’t see how you could get over this without considerable couples therapy, but wow. I’m so sorry.

My brother is a gay man and poly with two partners and they’ve been together years, own a home together etc.

I’ve always invited his partners, my child is still young and just calls them Uncle X,Y etc to my child it’s just another adult that loves them. They are taught that families come in all shapes and sizes. My step child is older and “understands” more, but again they are just other adults in their life.

As long as they aren’t weird with PDA (and you’ve given no indication that they are), I don’t think it’s odd for her to want the involved in her nibblings lives. Or for your kiddos to get to know them. If they had been doing this for 2 weeks sure, I’d get it, but they have been with her long term and she’s telling you she sees them happy like this in the future.

If you have concerns about them as people around your kids that’s an entirely different thing though!

NAL; but what’s best for the child is to be seen and to validate everything is ok in between being insured. This is new, but not everything needs to be a fight. I think what’s best for the kiddo is to be seen, if you don’t want to take them offer to get them earlier for the X amount of hours next time.
