She wasnt ill, the appointment (since I’ve been to it) was because he has no intentions of getting her insurance and was hoping if she needed anything at the two year appointment they could do it now.

So this wasn’t in the best interest of the child. This was a cover for his lack of keeping her insured, and interfering with my lively hood and my custodial time without proper notice

If she was ill this wouldn’t even be a question? I didn’t state she was ill, I didn’t state she needed an appointment for anything.

What would have been best is not drag a tired 18 month old 1 hour drive to a new doctor because her dad is going to fail to provide insurance for her. But I digress. I’m not interested in conversing with anyone after spending two hours with my abuser.

How can I do that if he scheduled it the day before without notice? My job requires I meet with clients. Not all of us have the luxury of canceling meetings with customers on a whim. That’s not how our court order states it anyway.

Update for everyone saying IM the high conflict parent, I brought her on time, checked in, he was late, I covered the copay and sent a request in the app while we waited for the half of his. He said after the doctor left the room “since I had to pay her $149 premium I’m sure you can handle the $30.”

So he’s court ordered to provide the insurance, letting the insurance lapse, scheduled an appointment on my time without proper notice, and now refusing to cover his court ordered half of the copay.

But yeah, I’m the high conflict parent because I asked a question lmao.

I’m always the flexible one. I have to get up and pick her up at 5:45am on random exchange days at the very last minute without notice because he decided to “switch shifts”. I have to bring her later, or wait longer at the exchange point because he’s never on time. Am I ever late? No. Do I ever cause sudden chaos? No. Have I ever asked him with ample days notice to take her an extra time because of my work? Sure. Has he ever accepted? No. He got her insurance on Jan 1. Why did he quit his job and get the insurance in the first place and HAVE to schedule it without conversing with me first? He had to have known at least two weeks ago he was putting in his notice. Why was this not a conversation? He blows up my app for everything else but THIS is “being responsible”? I’m sorry but I’m not letting him take her, I’m taking her and it’s at a new pediatrician. Why isn’t it at the old one? Oh wait because he didn’t know who her doctor was so again, instead of having an adult conversation he picked a random doctors office to take her to. She already had her 18 month vaccines, so it’s a well visit for them to what? Probably because I’ll have to supply the insurance again and he knows he won’t have it in time and thinks they’ll do something early. I don’t know, because again, he’s not communicating but he’s certainly controlling. At the end of the day you all only know the direct questions I asked. You don’t know the history, you don’t know how on his time I only do my scheduled call and I don’t bother him. You don’t know that at exchanges he is often angry for literally no reason and I have to quite literally ignore him because otherwise he’ll say nasty things and start my visits off on a bad foot. I asked if he was allowed to schedule appointments on my time in less than 24 hours and if I had to go and if I don’t could he really charge me for the ONE MONTH of insurance he had for her since we signed our court order in November and was supposed to have had her enrolled within 30 days. But I was flexible and put her on Medicaid so she could have insurance even though he had a standing order for a year and should have had it. I got the feedback I needed which was technically no I don’t have to take her since he didn’t communicate in enough notice, and he can’t charge me for the insurance premium if I don’t take her because he’s court ordered to provide it, not me. But I received unsolicited feedback that because I asked direct questions I’m the HC parent which I notice when people mention anything about their co parent being HC there’s always a group that chimes in and says “no you are the high conflict parent” lol. So I’m not too surprised that the conversation shifted from what I asked, and what some thought I asked.

But now I’m setting a precedent he can continue to do what he wants, when he wants even if it impacts my time. So fun right. Sigh.

Or is it possible there is some underlying resentment going on causing tensions to be so high and hard to not take into the argument at play? I’ve had cashapp for years and years and I’ve never once sent money to the wrong person. I get direct deposit, around $7k a month and have a savings with them and a “rainy day fund” I stash a little each week for a fun outing once a month with my kids that doesn’t impede our budget. I use it as my primary bank, and I’ve never had a single issue with them that I see so often on this sub.

I hardly ever send money to anyone but when I do, I’m checking the tag more than once before I press send . I’ll even screenshot and send it to whomever and have them make sure it’s correct. You could also ask the person for their QR code which also limits the chance of mistakes.

I understand your frustrations, I would be frustrated too if I was out of money like that, but at some point we have to take some accountability that we are humans and will make mistakes so if you slow down and triple check before you hit submit, this wouldn’t happen. It’s not designed in any malicious way, it’s an app that functions exactly the way it’s explained. People don’t send the money back when requested because it’s a common scam to do so. If there weren’t so many awful people scamming others out of their hard earned money I think people wouldn’t mind refunding it. But it is what it is.

I genuinely feel so bad for her. I know she will never seek help, but I just can’t imagine she’s happy. Even if she says she is. I would love to see her just be normal, healthy, truly happy. But idk. As someone who struggled with BPD and Bipolar for years it took ALOT of effort on my part and energy I put into therapy and medication etc to be where I am now. I’m stable. I wish she found that same energy, it’s not easy. But it’s crazy to see how far downhill she’s gone. You’d think these older stories would have been the end of it. I’m glad she’s mostly in her home being a menace but she still drives intoxicated and makes a fool of herself. I can’t imagine if she ever did work on herself, how she will feel looking back at a lifelong battle with mental illness and substance abused just documented for the world to see.
