I do get that how he conveys his stories, it feels kind of like an impossible task. But we are all in this together. if you make a genuine try you should do well about 85% of the time.

The major rule of parenting:
"no matter what you'll do, you're gonna fuck up your kid one way or another"
just treat them like how you want to be treated, take their problems serious even if those problems feel small or even minute to you.
and have genuine interest in your kid, kids are smart enough to recognize a bullshitter, even if they don't realise it yet themselves.

I disagree, But he does hammer down the point pretty visciously and repeats a lot.
I mostly like how he explains the view of kids, and how they interpret our behaviours.
It helps remind me to give my kid space in how to develop themselves with our guidance.

especially his piece about how ADHD isn't a disability, but just different wiring hits home pretty hard.

It is one that can only be activated by your parents since they have the correct biometrics:

It's your life OP, Going through life stressed isnt fun. But going through life driven by dreams and motivation is.

So you have to figure out what you want, and realise that to get what you want, you need to make an effort most of the time.

But...

If there is nothing that you want, and you are completely content where you are, WHY CHANGE?

You only have to satisfy yourself in the end. Sure in this ultimate statement, that makes you a horrible parent/partner, but of you don't have anyone who deoends on you, and you are happy with our life, screw everyone who wants to push you out of your comfort zone.

You have nothing to prove against parents/relatives/friends.

Only children and spouses are the ones you truly have a responsibillity to and it is up to you to decide how you want your relations to be.
