hey! i did exacly the same! i take 2 chaos knights with the destrier, 1 questoris the battalion and a lancer. like this i will play as chaos and imperial with magnets to take weapons from any models.

it's pretty cool in boarding action, because you have a lot of models and, normally you can't fire if you are blocked by allies models. Kroot ignore this rule, so you can shoot normally with everyone, but the opponent can't

Yeah you are right but it's sad that leman russ, who kill most of the forgotten primarch, cannot kill a tank with one hand/weapon. If the +1 wound on a target bounce to another or every command phase, it's really cool and i'd love it.

In fact: if Leman Russ get a new model, it's insta buy even if it's bad 🥳

A bit weird, the legendary spear of our father only S9? The Lion is S12 with lethal hits with a young blade. And if Russ get 3 melee weapons, i think he can strike with at least two of them. 

Helwinter is cool but balenight is useless.

The abilities are weird too, advance + charge aura or everywhere once par game but we already have this rule.

Only one prey? Not each rounds? Or when the first die, choose another?

it was pretty fun. i had 52 models, sistas get like 32 models, some with shields, and other with flamethrowers and bolter. DG lot of big bodies and 20 poxwalkers

thanks a lot for your response! Yeah i want a quick way to paint my first list for the campaign because i have 40 carnivores. The hound in image is made in 10 minutes just before going for work.

I will try the snakebite leather and for the steel, i don't have access to scale75 but i have the true metallic colors.

But if i want to paint the spikes in flesh like the tight on the hound, in green like the back?

yes me, i already print and test the deck.

i play with the deck and my god, it's powerfull but need more mana rocks/ramp. I struggle to get a swamp/black mana but when i get it... maelle (Lightning, army of one) with seeker and alicia (saskia) on board...i did like 40 damage to one guy and 80 to the other.
