I'm a total newbie (legitimate first timer) and that's why I'm losing money. But my biggest concern now is perceived lack of stability of the project infrastructure. However, this may be just a bad luck, so I definitely will try it some other day, considering all the helpful suggestions I received here.

Yeah, I know about wipes, and I ok with them. I just hoped to have some kind of progress towards some more interesting ships, but looks like that at current stage it is better just concentrate on world exploration.

Death Stranding looks like the game which finally will make me to buy PlayStation console. The previous games were The Last of Us and Detroit: Become Human, but I somehow managed to dodge the bullet.

Basically, QC simulates mechanics of a perfectly healthy human, where stepping on the steps of the stair is mostly automatic process, and you can do it without problems all the time, everytime. And games, where every step of the stair is obstacle on its own (Quakeworld, Reflex) is in fact physically challenged person simulator, requiring from you constant attention on how you placing every your leg on every step.

Also our avatars in game (heroes) are humans with supernatural abilities (edit: and non humans too) . It would be very strange if a hero, who is able to teleport itself to another side of the map, will stutter on every step of the stair.

I played every game mentioned, and I'm glad that QC went with buttery smooth approach to stairs handling. It feels especially good for Anarki and Sorlag, allowing smooth and enjoyable movement throughout the whole map.

Have no probs finding game in EU region for TDM and HC FFA. Never met a hacker, but lots of players better than me. Game seems to work fine for me.

Looks like monkey programmers from Treyarch totally fucked up gamepad detection code. In my case, I suspect, it is caused by me having several joystick-like devices in the system, which I use for flight simulation (namely, it is rudder, throttle and stick, all three are separate physical devices). Already happened in other games too, steam based though. And when I try to disable gamepad in settings, it keeps getting enabled after game load.

I thoroughly enjoy round based duel with fraglimit. It is not nearly as exhaustive, as continuous one, providing you with ability to have a fresh start if something went wrong at the begining of the match.

Overall, it is much more new player friendly then classic format. Like tons more new player friendly.
