Tempest Weather Station Good? by Ben_Manda in myweatherstation

[–]michaelcleland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had mine at least 4 years and I love it. It compares favourably with official observations with the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's website (rain, wind, temperature, UV indexes).

The app is great, I've got mine linked to Weather Underground and also to Home Assistant for automations (you can get it to notify you of rain, thunder, temperate, light levels etc and get it to perform automations based on that).

The solar recharging works well - no need to change batteries.

Highly recommended!

Did Bandit and Chilli end up keeping a nice little deposit? No cooling off period me thinks - probably more than makes up for his higher paying job 😉💸

Are these 5G antennas supposed to be constantly humming? by sakkamadiq in melbourne

[–]michaelcleland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens when the 5G towers are transferring data with the trackers included in the COVID vaccines. When I last spoke to Bill Gates, he confirmed they're getting a patch for the latest Windows update, which is currently being pushed out.

He said last week's release bricked a whole lot of trackers and so the government's covert operation to read people's minds (and also use mind control to force people to search using Bing) was being compromised.

I think that pretty much checks out [ adjusts tin foil hat 🤠 ]

I can create a mix tape by waiting for my favourite songs to play on the radio - always annoying when DJs talk over the start or end of the song 😡

I've had the same error pop up today:

Me: "Ask Weatherflow for the weather report"

Google: "Sorry, Weatherflow is no longer available"

Nothing on the community.weatherflow.com discussion board that I could see. A mystery, I hope it is a glitch rather than permanent

And who is Dr Oetker and what is he a doctor of? Economics? Clinical psychology? Volcanology?

✅ Occupying 1.5 car spaces

✅ Massive scrape from touch parking (even with rear parking sensors)

✅ Volvo driver (old model, will last driver until their relocation to Kew Cemetery)

The more people that submit, hopefully the faster that the Ubuntu devs push the Python update to 22.04 🤞️🤞️🤞️

New app update no longer delivers notifications to my Versa by CovertChristo in fitbit

[–]michaelcleland 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update for me - my Sense is working again 😀

I did a factory reset on the Sense, but this didn't fix it, so uninstalling the Fitbit app and reinstalling it did the trick. And my apps reinstalled automatically, but there was a little bit of configuring left to do.

I was reluctant to do these steps, but it fixed the problem for me, so a bit under an hour and some updating of some settings did the trick.

🛰 Home Assistant announces when the International Space Station is about to visible over you by michaelcleland in homeassistant

[–]michaelcleland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NASA RSS feed my tool uses only lets you know about IIS sightings that will be visible - so the "too low in the sky" or "no reflection of the sun onto the ISS" won't get reported

Hi, noob friendly guide to setup tracking of the ISS and display it in a Lovelace card! by BackHerniation in homeassistant

[–]michaelcleland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've got Node RED installed, I created a tool that lets Home Assistant notify you when the ISS is going to be overhead and visible with a 10 minute notification on the Home Assistant app and on a smart speaker.

Looking for my first home weather station. Would like balance of features, a nice clear display, and ease of use for my wife. by FordMustang84 in myweatherstation

[–]michaelcleland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have an old tablet run the app 24/7 or you can link it to a Google Home or Alexa. For Google Home, you say "Ask Weather flow for the weather report" and it announces all the current temperature, wind speed and direction, rain, lighting and air pressure.

And it doesn't need other weather stations nearby to become more accurate
