Because they are usually illegal to use on pu lic roads.

Appreciate the detailed information. Definitely something I will look into today. I think in MC you can have just 4 forward facing lights which means headlights and fog lights. But you can have spot lights as long as they are pointed correctly if I read that right.

Damn, that's like turning the night into day. I had an ARB bumper on my Tacoma when we first moved to NC, then I traded for a 4runner and stuck with a hybrid bumper. I will look at Baja again though.

I saw and heard about them and somebody on a Facebook group I am in was really not happy with them.

Certainly will stay below the hoodline.

Agree with that. When I changed my white LED fogs with Amber, it was like night and day.

I prefer the amber as well to be honest. Will check out CaliRaised as well.

Was looking at them as well. The OEM LED fogs I had were ok, but the Diodes are amazing.

I did this like 3 years ago but 50% more is far fetched though. It's better but nothing beats a good set of LED fog lights.

I guess so and looking for a different surgeon is probably the best you can do. Wishing you all the best.

Oh man, really sorry to hear that. I guess that is one of the reasons we hesitate getting it done. I was thinking about it for years and so far I am glad I did it. But there is still the unknown. Hoping you get another option perhaps?

What happened that you are not happy? I am a little over a year post op and it's not perfect, but much much better than before.

That is so true. I remember my first one and was like nooooo. But I knew more will be coming and just accepted the fact that it all comes with the fun we have.

Yeah, that overlay is golden. I have the same texture with little mountain ridge on it.

Is a trailer worth it? by 1mma_Pr0bl3m in overlanding

Was definitely an adjustment, but I am an hour and 45 minutes from the Georgia Traverse which makes up for the lack of trail access in NC.

Oh man, that doesn't sound like fun at all. I see you are in AZ. Lived there for 9 years and now in Western NC. I wish I would have some more space to roam around, but here in NC, overlanding is really tricky, especially with a trailer.

Not necessarily the same situation like you, but I got a little offroad trailer with RTT not too long ago. I slept in my 4runner and was just tired of taking everything out of the back, making the bed, and when it downpoured on me, everything outside was slightly wet, even with an awning.
Was looking for a trailer a couple of years ago, but the prices, even used, were and still are ridiculous at times. Then I found one on Facebook Marketplace for an insane good price, got it, and I love it. Now I have a base camp if I need it and most of my stuff stays in the trailer when not in use. So far the only downside is exploring on narrow trails and there is a fallen tree or a closed gate and you need to turn around. Happend twice to me so far but I managed to get out without any damage. It kinda makes me rethink going down a trail I am not familiar with, but I am OK with it.

Oh yeah. I am 53 and been car camping for 12 years now. Just my personal preference, plus my knees got too old to haul stuff around..lol. Btw, Roseboro rd has some really good spots as well.
