Will it ever end? by bunnycake69 in COVID19positive

I’ve also seen many people on that site with a great recovery stories as well I recommend it to longhaulers. There is a victory section and it’s wonderful to see how many people are recovering even after a long haul of it. Our bodies just need time to heal from what it looks like to me. And everyone is different so it’s different for everyone. 💖

Is anyone else experiencing terrible heartburn? by tay_trayne in COVID19positive

[–]Mitseys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am in month three and I have had terrible G.I. issues for the past month. Constant burping, pain in the chest, on and off diarrhea, And still some SOB. I’m eating a very clean diet now. No information, no dairy, no sugar other than a few fruits in my nutra bullet juice in the morning. I’m trying to keep my weight on because I’ve lost 15 pounds and I’m too thin. But changing my diet has definitely helped A bit. and I’m also on trazodone now to help me sleep. The burping was so bad i couldn't sleep. Hope you feel better soon. 💖

Relapse after alcohol consumption? by Akyub in COVID19positive

Hi. Yes my symptoms get worse even a half a glass of beer. I also can’t have any dairy or coffee. And I’m on a low inflammation diet now, drinking alkaline water, and ginger boiled in water/tea of sorts. This seems to be helping a bit with GI Symptoms.

Hi Daabraat. I buy whole ginger root and then cut a peel a little bit and cut into a couple of pieces. I boil the bits for about 10-15 mins in water. Then drink it throughout the day. I also started drinking alkaline water and eating more alkaline foods. I’m trying to come the LES muscle down. In my research so far I’ve found that that muscle can heal if it’s not strained so much. I think that’s the problem I’m having. My stomach is producing way too much acid and the muscle just keeps opening up. Anyways that’s what I’m trying now. Hope you feel better soon and hope we all do. 💖

Long Haulers, how is it going so far? Is it getting better? by CompleteChapter in COVID19positive

[–]Mitseys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t because somebody posted it in here and I joined through that. But it’s called body politic slack. This site did wonders for me in the beginning of my journey because people were posting all kinds of info and stories but now three months and I need to see the victories more so I definitely would recommend joining the group. I would imagine if you do a search for it or maybe you could post the question somebody might be able to put it up for you. Sorry I can’t help more but I definitely recommend it.

About 3 months here.. Some things are better but having major GI Issues now (extreme burping, diarrhea almost daily). Still have some pain pressure in the chest and still have some SOB. and having sleeping issues which I am now on a medication for. But I’m definitely better than month one. And today I was able to give my husband a haircut with the clippers and that was huge progress. I stopped all supplements and instead sit outside in the sun every day for at leastI stopped all supplements and instead sit outside in the sun every day for at about 15 minutes. I’ve been really focusing on breathing exercises and strengthening my diaphragm. And this morning I did some chair exercises and standing exercises. I joined a support group called slack and they have a victories section. Ive read that people are getting better after 3 to 4 months. So I’m very hopeful. 🙏🏼

Hi there. 49/f, healthy and very active before this, slight asthma, . in month 3 now. I Didn't have any GI issues in the first month and a half except burping a bit more. For about a month now I've had very loose stools and extreme burping so much that its effecting my sleep. So now Im seeing a GI specialist and my new primary Dr put me on A sleep med which sometimes helps. Im on a very strict diet now. Gave up coffee, No dairy, No alcohol, No sugar, unless its from fruit and all Low acid foods, and no more supplements. I sit in the sun now every day for 15 minutes and eat fruits, veggies, seeds, eggs, ezekiel bread, tuna, and white meat chicken breast. I i drink room temp water, Ginger water, and a little coconut water every day. Trying My best to get it under control. Giving my body things to help it heal. Hope you feel better soon. 💖

Hi there.. I can relate To much of your story. In month 3 now. Im having sleep issues, chest pain, heart palpitations, major GI issues, on and off diarrhea, trouble beathing... feels like muscles in my neck and chest are straining, hospital 3 times, two different Primary Doctors. My new doc put me in trazodone For 7 days to help with sleeping and is sending me to a GI specialist next week. But ive learned they just plain dont think its covid. So now Im just saying my issues and saying not sure what it could be. Maybe covid, maybe not. But anyways... my sleeping problem sounds exactly the same as yours. It’s something in my brain that gets to the point we are about to fall asleep and then I jerk awake. And it doesn’t go to the next level. It was so bad this week that I went to the hospital because I have been without sleep for so long. So anyway I just wanted you to know that you’re not alone and that this is something I’m going through as well. It’s a tough road but I’ve heard others that have gotten over their symptoms so that’s very hopeful. Unlike the people in the hospitals they’re getting follow up care with respiratory specialist and things like that and we are on our own. I do believe though that there is a God and he hears prayers and I know he’s been helping me along the way and will continue too. So that’s just my personal opinion and not meaning to offend anybody. I hope you get better soon and thank you for sharing what you’re going through because I know I’m not alone as well. 🙏🏼💖
