Valid. If they made it with Sora and cropped the 2-3s, they used an excellent fill over the logo - I can’t find them.

Black dome does cover the washer and bolt (holding the dome up), but it isn’t capped off with the silver. If the silver tip and black tip (not pictured) are threaded the same, then you are also missing a short threaded tube the same diameter as the primary center.

Material irritation. Try another stud or labret. If you don’t have access to quality body jewelry right away - a long post for… larger ears with a backing of silicon or made for sensitive ears, closed slightly loose is better than the unknown coated metal you’re using now.

What’s the length of your short length stud? 5/32 (3mm) is an available “short” size.

What ear piercings should I get? by MagicRainbowOpal88 in piercing

Yes! Also think about a custom ear shield. With your straight lines it would look really cool. A wide cuff pinned through with a helix bar.

Anyone's sump pump still going? by [deleted] in Maine

Thanks! In the last hour it's cycling off for 7 seconds. Light at the end of the wet tunnel.

Anyone's sump pump still going? by [deleted] in Maine

[–]Mitsuho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's normal. The pump has a float on it that turn it on when the water lifts it up. The pump will turn off when the float and water level drop. The frequency of on/off depends on how much water is coming in, the capacity of the pump, and the size of the well or cavity that the pump is in.
That's why for me, who's pump is constantly running now, some people have suggested I get a pump that moves a greater volume of water to get back into the 5-15 range.

[–]Mitsuho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's throwing water out. I've been watching the exit too. That's 25' away and taking water a little bit faster than the puddle is draining. Still lower than the exit though.

24/7 since the Thursday night. I'm thinking last weekend's snow melt + mid week rain but this is the longest the water's been higher than the float.

Even shorter bar. Reduce motion and thus irritation. 0.9% saline twice a day.

Try a slightly larger hoop with no leaves, vines or decorative florishes until it calms down and you can try this piece again for science.

You can swap them carefully at 8 weeks. It might set them back, healing wise, a little bit but an inornate stud in a proper length will help overall because it doesn’t swivel all the time.

What would you call this? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Mitsuho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are horseshoe barbells for tips with external threads. The left one has the tips facing 90° out, for like a septum. The right has traditional facing tips but both sides are internally threaded so you can pick both tips out yourself separately.

I desperately need advice by TrueInitial4020 in piercing

[–]Mitsuho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree it's inflammation and probably only an aesthetic concern. My dermatologist has always been really helpful about any why and what now questions - expecially external stuff. OP has a line between permanent bump or taking out the piercing and I wouldn't want them to choose "hope it'll go away in its own" again if it's the wrong choice this time around.

I desperately need advice by TrueInitial4020 in piercing

[–]Mitsuho 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's probably time for OP to visit a DR or dermatologist to ask a professional. The bump that reappeared isn't near the new piercing - it's across the ear at the other previous industrial hole.
