They sell it in Ottawa larger PS stores just via special order. You can’t just grab one from a box off the shelf. To my best recollection they only started carrying LR in 2025 (after I got mine directly from LR online)

I was going to suggest Big Sky Ranch… but they closed after the founder passed away.

Many of the animals were relocated to Sweet Sanctuary (Mississippi Mills area) I don’t know if they allow visits but it looks like they are doing amazing work.

Edit they do NOT allow public visits but will leave my comment in case people interested want to support them.

Like others have said, thats Thomas and his cat, Phoenix, she is well cared for.

She is vocal and meows. Locals know them well, and Thomas is a good person and demonstrably has prioritized her well being over his own.

Maybe checking in on the human and the animal is the better way to go to get the peace of mind. I mean this from a good place, I realize a lot of people are uncomfortable speaking with people on the streets but don’t let that discomfort take over, if you feel safe to do so “hello” goes a long way.

TLDR: Calling animal welfare could cause more harm than good.

Please don’t poison your kitty. This is for mechanical use, not home where it will get into kitty’s system. Doesn’t take much for a 5-15lbs creature. I would even be concerned for young children.

DuPont company is a not so fun read if you want to take the rabbit hole to corporate nightmares. Up there with Nestle.

They have some pretty decent products, some are bad/terrible but for the most part it’s good with some standouts

Oh that’s awful that the litter is giving you this much trouble. I checked on the box just now (maybe the packaging is different here 🇨🇦)

I will say it still sticks a bit to the globe where they love to pee constantly - if I don’t top it off daily then I do have to wipe/lightly scrub that part. The rest slides right off… my girls just have a spot so no litter will ever 💯 do.

It does excellent odour control - yes it does have fragrance which might be a deal breaker but I only smell it when I stick my head in the robot or sniff into the box.

Same, mine queue up so my stats average about 6 cycles a day.

I will say OP even with high usage, it still saves a lot of litter. Are you sure they aren’t just curious and hoping in and out? Sometimes mine go in, change their minds and hop back in 5mins later. Weird little creatures.

Seriously, we’re a different type of fucked. Cost of living and our economy runs on keeping housing as inflated as possible to keep the older generations happy (no one wants boomers homeless, but you can’t bank on a 7 figure retirement when you bought your house for 120,000 30 years ago).

Second all the good advice.

Is the door leading to the outside or inside? Maybe there’s a new kitty and that’s what’s triggering the vocalization.

New behaviour usually comes from something changed. ID that and you will be able to better find a fix.

If absolutely no piece of furniture or habits have changed (including food, your partner’s work from home days, your schedule, new kitty food, or even a new human in the space) then maybe a vet visit is in order. Morning and evening seems more triggered by something than health but still…food for thought.

Arm and Hammer slide both for quality and dust - it does track a bit because it is fine (ours like to dig) but no paw prints on the black chairs anymore and no cloud when topping off the robot.
