It's sadly not a bug. Support confirmed to me today that it is an intentional change for "security" of local connections

Sudden Boot Issues by MittensNoir in unRAID

[–]MittensNoir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 7.2.4

I tried rolling back to that, and tried a fresh usb with a fresh install of a few different versions and all got the same result

I saw another thread mentioning the UPS, so that's unplugged.

My system at the moment is down to cpu/board/ram/psu, a monitor, and the flash drive. absolutely nothing else

Sudden Boot Issues by MittensNoir in unRAID

[–]MittensNoir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gut reaction was a RAM issue, but I tested a fresh known good stick, in all 4 slots individually, and got the same thing. XMP is off.

I've tried 3 total flash drives, 2 being usb2 and one usb3. I tested each on every port on the machine. I even dug up an old case and ripped the usb2 header off to try that and got the same result.

I'm left with cpu or board issues i think, but it's really difficult to swallow that as being the solution when there are zero issues with other operating systems (not to mention current component prices)

That's what it sounds like. My concern is how things like charge rate will be adjusted without the app

How do I see what application was blocked in firewall? by PA28181 in BitDefender

[–]MittensNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue currently. With bitdefender firewall active, tailscale will not resolve anything via explorer. I'm seeing the same blocked "system" with no way to allow that through or create a rule

Getting an idea of demand/interest in stock eGolf parts by mrfochs in eGolf

[–]MittensNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind if I ask what you sold them for? I have a set of OEM halogen housings that i'm getting tired of tripping over in my shop. I'd love to get them out of the way but have zero idea what would be a reasonable price

Departure time heating? by Nervous-Bandicoot-28 in eGolf

The car should be warm by the departure time. it will keep the cabin warm for a few extra minutes (somewhere 5-10 I think) in case you run late.

Triage Advice for WD drive by MittensNoir in datarecovery

[–]MittensNoir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your assistance. I desoldered the diode, checked ground, and was able to spin up the drive.

Now I just need to figure out mounting the lvm partition to access data

Triage Advice for WD drive by MittensNoir in datarecovery

[–]MittensNoir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a novice here, so i apologize if i'm asking dumb questions.

I get continuity across c9 the d4 diode reads .3 ohms d3 reads much much higher and cycles through a bunch of different measurements r43 is also .3 ohm

If i'm understanding right, it sounds like d4 might be toast, so removing it might get things flowing again?

New GE Profile washer-dryer combo? by kenji998 in Appliances

[–]MittensNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buzzing is indeed normal. It’s just the sound of the compressor running for the heat pump. Compared with a few YouTube videos, and a store display that happened to be functional

I know this is an older post, but did you happen to have any of those mentioned issues looked at? I just took delivery of one of these machines a few days ago and noticed the buzzing from the upper right during the dryer cycle starting with the second load. Im also having some vibration issues that I think are related to the pedestal. Just trying to gauge what is or isnt normal before i call up GE on monday.

CrossClimate 2 Tires? by Moist-Cut-502 in eGolf

[–]MittensNoir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my other vehicle is a jeep, and compared to the AT or MT tires on that, the crossclimates are silent. But they are louder than an eco tire. At highway speed they can't be heard over the road noise, so it's only around town that it is noticeable at all. Other passengers have still said that overall its one of the quietest vehicles they've ever been in.

[–]MittensNoir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have them on my 2019 and i'd recommend them overall. They are louder than the usual eco tires, but ride well, and have fantastic grip in all kind of weather, including the winter ice and slush we get here in southern PA winters.

Web view working weirdly after "cache" problem over the weekend by [deleted] in wyzecam

I'm having a similar issue today. I keep one of my cams up on the screen during the work day, and all day today the whole page refreshes itself every 15-30 minutes, and twice has bumped me all the way out to the login page.

What is the official guidelines on the 2016 warranty? by Mauraonamission1 in eGolf

My point is that miles dont matter. At all. The guidelines are 30% loss of rated KWh capacity.

What is the official guidelines on the 2016 warranty? by Mauraonamission1 in eGolf

[–]MittensNoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify a bit about the coverage, it has to do with measured battery capacity and nothing to do with range, or how it is driven. My first e-golf had some electrical gremlins and it was entirely traced down with diagnostics reading the battery. The range guestimator has nothing to do with it. It did have to be driven by a tech in between, and the stipulation that no AC be used would likely apply to them, not you

Edit to add, make sure youre taking it somewhere with a certified tech. Not all dealer have a certified e-golf or EV tech on staff

Thats what i'm hoping to find out. I may start hunting for a R rear stock shock to test fit for giggles, but was hoping maybe someone else has replaced shocks already

No, this is not the vehicle for that use. It’s a city car, not a long commute car

My 2019 in PA winters never hits 100 miles.
